Stayed here 1 night in July. Due to a mechanical issue we didn't arrive till well after midnight. The after hours check in was simple. Spaces were comfortable to access & easy to maneuver. We were 60' with truck & trailer. There was adequate space between units with nice flat space & shade. The best part was no road noise! Restroom & showers were clean, private & had good water pressure. The dog park was nice & had good space for our dog. We would absolutely stay at this park again!
This is a torn review. The grounds, even in winter are beautiful. The place is silent 90% of the day. I’ve read plenty of perfect reviews, so I think we stayed on a bad day. We have a Power WatchDog hardwired smart surge protector. We get an error “E6 - Line 2 Neutral Reversed, We will not use parks power, please contact office.” I walk in at about 10:30AM, they are supposed to be open 9a-5p. I called and left a voicemail stating my name, call back number, site number and that there is a problem with the power and I needed something from the store. Hours go by, decided to try again at about 3p, the owner answers. I state my name, space number and concern with the power. “It’s been that way for 25 years, don’t know why some of you guys get that.” Probably going to be more prevailing in the future with smart surge protectors. Now, to be fair i tried running on 30AMP thinking the 50AMP was isolated. Same error on both. “25yrs” is not an excuse, it’s motivation. I stayed here for 2 nights.Thats two nights i paid for w/s/p, I got W. I could have stayed at the fuel stop if i wanted to boon dock. The lacking S is because I needed a sewer extension and since I couldn’t get into the store, had to wait until just before leaving to back closer to empty the takes. Point being, fix the power so I don’t have to run the generator. Not to mention someone without, can suffer major damages. I would LOVE to come back in the spring or summer and have power so I can give this place 5 stars.
The park was clean and it seemed like there would be a lot to do in the summer. There were only 3 RVs there when we arrived. The dog park is very small- no place to throw the ball. The downside was this was the worst check-in experience we’ve ever had. No one was there, even though it was posted as being open from 9-5. There was a sign to find your name to find out which spot was reserved for you. No names on any sheets- not a clue where to go. I called the number listed and got a recording so we took the first spot we saw. After we were set up, I got a text that we were in the wrong spot. Very frustrating. We won’t return.
Stayed one night in a cabin on our way through. Bathrooms very clean, easy check in and the best was that the mattress was wonderful for a couple of old folks, me with back pain. Also cabin had a microwave and fridge which we didn’t expect . Lovely setting as well! Could see spending a little time just relaxing here.
I have stayed at about 20 KOA’s all over the western United States over the last several months while traveling. This Fillmore KOA journey is the nicest facility I’ve been to it is outstanding. I would recommend it for anyone. The price is very reasonable as well. I am very happy and appreciate being able to use this facility.
Park was almost completely empty when I checked in and was going to my site. The rig is 43’ plus a Ram 2500 mega cab toad. Person in a yellow golf cart doing something at a site, sees me, gets in cart and proceeds to pull out in front of me bringing me to a stop. The woman clearly had some sort of an issue and asks for my space number. I tell her and she, agitated, tells me that she will take me the the space. I know where the space is ask her is something is wrong… “you’re going the wrong way” in an absolutely rude manner. I don’t need that in my life and certainly not paying $80 for it. Didn’t even make it to my spot. Went to the office, got a refund, drove over the highway to Love’s - just needed a spot for the night. Turns out the rude woman is the owner.
Nice quiet KOA, away from the interstate. EZ in and out. All sites are gravel that are mostly level with grass seating area (grass could use some TLC). Log cabin style rentals are available as well as tent sites. Pool and spa are well maintained. Small store and showers are located in the office building. Diesel service and fuel stations are close by.
Tent sites were nice. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. Close to the highway, but pretty quiet. The staff was very friendly.
