Findley State Park Campground Introduce

Findley State Park Campground, located in Huntington Township, OH 44090, offers a range of facilities for local users seeking Campgrounds & RV Parks. While a specific phone number is not provided in the given information, the address should be sufficient for locating the park or contacting the relevant state park authorities for inquiries.

Based on customer reviews, Findley State Park Campground is a good location for overnight tent stays, particularly for those following the Buckeye Trail. However, one reviewer noted the absence of a shower block, which they found unusual for the $36/night fee, leading them to use the lake for rinsing. This suggests that while the location is convenient, shower facilities may be limited in certain areas of the campground.

For families, the campground offers several recreational features, including a playpark, small hiking trails, a basketball court, a volleyball net, and kayaks available for rental. These amenities provide ample opportunities for entertainment and outdoor activities. The staff is reported to be nice, and there is a clean, big camp store on-site that offers snacks and other necessities.

Camping options at Findley State Park Campground include excellent primitive camping areas. However, it's noted that most campsites feature gravel surfaces instead of concrete. The spacing of water and wastewater disposal points is mentioned as being further apart compared to many other state parks. The campground provides centralized shower houses, and for other restroom facilities, well-lit and maintained pit toilets are available.

In summary, Findley State Park Campground offers a variety of amenities and a good location for camping and outdoor activities. Local users should be aware of the tent site fees and the availability of shower facilities, as well as the gravel surfaces of most sites and the spacing of water and wastewater disposal. The presence of recreational facilities like a playpark, sports courts, and kayak rentals, along with a clean camp store, makes it a potentially attractive destination for families and individuals looking to enjoy the natural environment of Findley State Park.

Good location to tent for the night for those on the Buckeye Trail. No shower block which seemed unusual for a $36/night fee so just went to the lake to rinse myself off. There's a playpark and small hiking trails, a basketball court, volleyball net, and kayaks for rental - so plenty to keep the family entertained.

The staff is nice and there is a clean, big camp store with snacks on offer. You'll find excellent primitive camping, but most sites are gravel instead of concrete. Water and white water disposal is spaced out further than most other state parks. There are centralized shower houses and the rest are well lit and maintained pit toilets.

Great park and campground. Very clean and well cared for. Fishing, canoeing, and an unmanned beach. Nature resource center with camping store and ice cream. Many trails with hiking, mountain biking, and frisbee golf.

Nice campground with good spacing between most spots. Lots of mature trees. There is a good variety of types of spots, from sunny to shaded. Primitive to Full hookup. The bathroom facilities could stand to be updated, but what is here is functional. On my visit there was a lot of standing water in parts of the campground. I am not local so I don't know the cause nor if it is unusual. Ok cell signal in the campground and a small town with a grocery a few minutes away. Some traffic and train noises, but low enough that it didn't bother me.

Stayed in early spring when it was still cold and it rained while we were here. Would come back.
