Great quick walk around the lake. Bathrooms available. Disc Golf. We saw kayakers and fishers. Decent smaller campground. Really awesome restaurant with great service and good food!
All the camp spots are decent size and surrounded by the lake. Usually when you camp near water the bugs can be terrible but this camp ground was surprisingly low on pests. Since it rained, we were able to have a camp fire which made the trip even better. There’s a breakfast diner super close by that was delicious food but only open on the weekends.
Camping is great at Finnon Lake, I was there mid week so it was nice and peaceful. The water was warm, so fun with my little boat.
We stayed in site 13. The whole site is on a slope (as are most of the sites on the water side), so it was a bit uncomfortable. The disc golf course is totally overgrown; my honey lost 7 discs this weekend, and he knows the course very well! But we had a great time anyway.
Me and my wife came to camp in this campground after we saw it on hipcamp and everything looked really good talking about being spacious and having privacy on the campsites, also very clean. We booked it from Monday-Thursday. Upon arrival on monday we found out that privacy is literally non existant and the campsites are waaay to close to each other... talking about spacious... However the reason we decided to leave on the same day we arrvived was our campground was pretty dirty, we picked up a bunch of trash including a couple cans, banana peals and couple plastic bags (picture attached). Also, we picked 2 dogs poops within the campsite that we threw away as well. We have 2 little dogs and we are very serious about picking up their poop so other people don't have to deal with it and not just in the campground but all the walk around the reservoir was full of them. We agreed to pay for the first night that we didn't even stayed but asked kindly to get a refund for the remaining nights as we didn't even stay one due to the experiece we went through but also, they refused.
