Firehouse Campground

My family and I camped here in a tent a few nights. It's a great location. It was pretty quiet and definitely very little light pollution. They provide firewood on site for sale. Fire pits, picnic table, electrical outlets, and water faucets at each camping spot. There's a huge bathhouse down hill with comfortable sized stalls and hot water. Behind the campground is giant hills and rocks for climb and good hiking! We loved out stay and will visit again!

We spent 10 days at this campsite and I am so glad we did! The host Rocky was amazing! She at cleaned the bathrooms at least 2 times a day! LOVED having a nice clean bathroom! No stink either! Rocky was kind and took my son for a ride and got a coke! She waved and greeted us each time she saw us come in and out. Everything was wonderful and a nice little campground tucked away! Oh and don't forget the corn hole and toys available for kids!

We booked online, and while the pictures and map are a little deceiving, this is a great campground! We were loved right up front and next to the highway and did have traffic noise, but it wasn't too bad. The host, Rocky, was amazing and greeted us upon our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed as well as provided information about the area and restaurants. The shower house is clean and the water was hot! The fire rings are at each campsite and well maintained, and the water and sewage hookups were easily accessible. If ever in the area again, we would stay here again.

This campground was awesome! Rocky who runs it will do everything in her power to make you feel right at home! It was a great location for visiting Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. My boys absolutely loved the fishing there. The bathhouses were clean and the spring water on the sites was most helpful! This has become one of our favorite spots!

Very unique campground. I am a member of a volunteer fire and rescue company. I loved the various fire trucks around campground. Very clean. The manager Rocci was very nice. I enjoyed speaking with her.

Pleasant surprise... Just a 1 night visit but was enjoyable experience. Rocky the host met us upon arrival and got us checked in...she was awesome and we chatted with her about her travels and why she loves the Black Hills (we agree ❤️). Great location outside of town near lots of touristy stuff 😎

They saved our butts! We were looking for a campground during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (we planned our trip and had no idea it coincided with the rally) everything seemed to be booked up. We managed to snag a tent site right by the creek. Nice location, clean bathrooms.

First, Rocky the hostess with the mostess is absolutely lovely! She was a big help and very friendly. The restroom facilities are incredible! The grounds were clean and well maintained. The location is perfect, in the middle of every thing. There is a Lodge, cabins, RV spots and tents spots We camped 3 nights in a tent so the rest of this review is for tent campers. We had water and electric hook-ups. The site is next to a busy Highway so it has traffic noisy all night and day. I went there to get away from the city and heard it all day and night. Also the tent sites are practically right on top of each other so there isn’t much privacy. It wasn’t as secluded as the advertising makes it seem. We probably wouldn’t ever camp in a tent there again but would try a cabin or lodge room.
