Just the basics here. No amenities. $6 a person on top of the RV fees for a shower. No WIFI. No real view of the mountains from our spot, as it's surrounded by trees. We were on the west side. RV spots piled way too close to each other, so you can't eat outside if you have a neighbor because their sewer hose is next to your table. Way overpriced for what you get. It's an old run down park in need of upgrades and repairs. Definitely no resort. The creek isn't really a creek. It's a cesspool of algae, standing water and flies. This place has so much potential, but it's not getting the TLC it needs. It's ok for an overnight. As we spend time in other RV parks, it becomes clear to me that this place needs better management. There's so many empty spots at that park, there's no reason to pile people all together in one small area. Spread them out, give them space. Smelling the neighbor's waste under my breakfast table isn't cool. Use every other space. That place was empty, except for the 5 spaces around us that were always full, even though they said the entire park was "booked up". We ended up leaving a day early because the place is a mess. No refunds, so we had to eat the $120 we paid for our spot.
stopped here on a long trip with a 32-foot Class A and trailer no problems getting in and out Service was good at the bar/office. bathrooms had hot water and were clean had laundry services on-site with coin operators The views were amazing form the park and the neighbors horses are always down for a friendly head scratch they have fire pits that are a community thing if you are the social kind you will like that. or you can just hang out at you spot and enjoy the view
The management are good people! We made reservations for a trip to the Tetons because Fireside was as close as we could get. Later, we were able to get into the Colter Bay campground instead. Problem was, we forgot to cancel our Fireside reservations. Fast forward to the day before the reservation and we got an email from Fireside with information about our "upcoming stay" that we forgot to cancel. Since it was less than 24 hours, we fully expected to loose our deposit and any other prepayment, but after a phone call to the Fireside office, we were assured that there was no problem cancelling and they would refund all but a $25 fee! That's outstanding and very much appreciated! We won't hesitate to book Fireside if we ever return to the Teton area!
Just the setting alone is worth 5 stars… but this gem of a park actually is a great place to stay while doing the Teton Park. I mean, you don’t even need to enter the park… the Grand Tetons can be seen from your site! We had site 165 which was tight for our RV but being at the end gave us good exposure for our Starlink. And it’s close to the washrooms. Sites are level and full hookups.
If you’re looking for a great beautiful location, minutes from the Teton entrance and in the middle of nature - this is your spot! It’s not fancy, but we enjoyed it! Sites are not huge, but the campground itself is surrounded by nature and horses on the property next door. The campground itself has a little store and bar with a great friendly atmosphere and gas station. We would stay again and recommend! Def dog and kids friendly. Stayed with a 41’ motorhome and towing.
