This is a great spot! Stayed in site 174. Level, quiet, and close to the restrooms. Was able to talk to management; Nicole is so level headed and doing great things for this campground. We stayed multiple days and got to meet all the staff, who were all fantastic. It was so great to see hard working, bright, young people. My husband and I look forward to enjoying this campground again (hopefully soon!)!
Had a great 3 day stay. I noticed that a lot of sites aren't level side to side. Ours was about 3.5 inches of even after trying different spots. The laundry machines are new and use credit cards or your phone. The biggest asset is the grounds border a forest service trail which was super convenient for exercising our dogs. Much better than a dog park for us. There is lots to do in the area - cliff dwellings were six minutes away, Volcano national Park and prehistoric Pueblo's were less than 40 minutes. Not a fan of Flagstaff's privilege tax - 4% on top of the 9% state sales tax. Just don't eat or drink out and you don't have to pay it, lol. Friendly staff. It wasn't windy but there is a small wind vane to generate electricity so it must blow at times. Starlink worked well.
Flagstaff KOA is the BEST. Highest recommendation. We were there during a heavy snow storm. They kept the roads clear. Helped showel snow. Email reminders for water safety. I appreciate their awesome support and service. They truly care about their guests and their actions support that. It is conveniently located with easy access to supplies and attractions. Picturesque setting. Laundry was clean and reasonably priced. Thank you for a great stay.
40' Class A Diesel Pusher towing a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We had a great stay at the KOA in Flagstaff. It's perfectly located for exploring Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, and Sedona. The mall and shops nearby, which is super convenient. The KOA is open year-round, and we were glad to find a Discount Tire nearby after experiencing a blowout on our Jeep. The trails backing up to the park were a fantastic bonus for some quiet time with our Golden Retriever. The employee at check-in was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A couple of downsides: The freeze-proof hydrants weren’t working properly at our site (clearly weren't draining once turned off), and we couldn’t use them the morning we left to fill our tank. Also, parking issues on neighboring sites made it tricky to leave, as people didn’t park off the roads. Would be helpful if they enforced this as I had to back out before sunrise. Despite these minor issues, it’s a great base for exploring Northern Arizona, and we would stay here again.
The campground is well designed and has ample amenities including clean and neat shower and bathroom facilities, large laundry with washers and dryers and laundry detergent includes picnic tables and lounging area inside and out open 24/7, well stocked gift shoppe/ grocery. Staff are easily identifiable in bright yellow uniform. The location can’t be beat. Secluded wooded quite campground is within walking distance of great shopping . Numerous public attractions to visit including scenic canyons and picturesque landscapes including the Grand Canyon. Plenty of entertainment opportunities for the kids on premises.
Great campground with even better staff! Kat helped us check in and was so nice and funny. We had a spot right by the restroom and laundry room, which was very convenient. Restrooms and laundry facilities were very clean and nice. Campground is very close to everything you need and the road noise wasn't too bad. It did not affect our sleep at all. Again, Kat is wonderful and a great asset to this park! Thank you for making us smile and laugh after a long, hard, windy day on the road 😊 🥰
The staff are absolutely Gems! Kind, loving, friendly, inviting... It must be the college vibes but they're totally kid-friendly and awesome with my son! Scored a few gems in the gift shop which is stocked with all kinds of great stuff for adults and kids! The site itself is immaculate with tons of RV and car and tent parking as well as yurts. Great playground great jumping pad for the children covered with sand for safety it's a beautiful place I love it. Mount Elden view spectacular! Most of the people there are traveling with families so it's very inviting and or retired just having a good time of course there's those that have the van and bus life plenty of sprinters and plenty of big old white converted yellow buses! My only issue was not being able to plug in my EV which wasn't an issue because I have free charging but the camp hostess was very rude about plugging in a car that only draws 1.7kW that's about a third of a dryer less than some light bulbs, you know those damn RVs are pulling all kinds of energy for their dryers and personal items as well as their lithium batteries that charge the system and allow for lighting at night. For KOA to not have charging is not acceptable given that it's an outdoors preservation, camping company! 🔥 🌲 ⛺
This location was one of many locations. We have stopped on our 2 week trip out west. The bathroom/shower houses were terrible. We were there for 3 nights there is no fire pits. If you want a camp fire you have to rent a fire ring. While the location was pretty normal you could definitely hear noise from the road and the front of the campground. If you want a place that’s quiet and comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend going here if you just need a place to camp for a night or so. Then this is your place.
The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They seem to be making a lot of improvements to the campground and the grounds are beautiful Well stocked store and clean bathrooms! We'll definitely go back :)
