Nice campground. We stayed on a rv site with electric. The sites have privacy as there are trees and plants between them. The bathrooms were clean and there was a handicap bathroom separate from the others which also have a handicap stall. If there is a downside, it would be the limited beach access. Storms damaged the beach and only a portion is deemed safe and is open to the public. Beautiful area just be ready for a walk if going to the beach area. I hope they get rest of the beach area safe to open soon.

The beach area is open at one side now. The host is great. But the state that rents these spots has fallen short in upkeep. Day area showers don't work and there's nowhere to even fill up a water jug. Camping one bathroom doesn't work or shower. The main bathroom has only one toilet working and the showers are hot only. Really hot with no tap too turn on you have to wait awhile to get cool enough to bathe. The host isn't responsible for building overhauls! They have water in the campground area at different spots. The state has to fix this place up. People love it and extend power. No 39 spot has no power yet both sides has power.

Both showers were not working and they were filthy. There was only one toilet working for the women. The handicap stall was dirty and disgusting, the water fountain was so gross. I couldn't even look at it. Can't find the communal garbage and I can't find the water for my unit. Apparently there's only one spigot for the entire campground. I don't know how people have rated this four stars before because the camp host is never around when you need her. And her campground is dirty and disgusting as well so I know that's why nothing is being taken care of.

Location is good.. close to Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, Harkers Island and New Bern. We took ferry to Cape Lookout and shuttled to the point. Campsite rate is good. Bathroom showers only had hot water. One womens bathroom working so rather busy. The handicapped bathroom was open also. It is convenient to access. The beach is still closed ... no access. We did pay for electric hookup but it was not working. The host did loan us their personal converter and showed us how to use. It was a hot, humid, buggy weekend for camping.

Host was great helping me get my site. Quiet campground. Could be way better with beach access. If not change name. Flanners bluff.
