Luckily, we stumbled upon this fantastic little campground right next to the river. The camp hosts were beyond helpful and even brought us firewood for our stay. The restrooms were also extremely clean and even smelled decent! I would definitely recommend this place for a nice camping trip near the park! Absolutely stunning all around!" Another camper added, "Spent a week camping at Flatrock. Although it’s small, and just off the road, it’s a great staging point and base camp to explore the area and the Frank Church/River Of No Return Wilderness. It’s also very quaint, beautiful, and full of nature/wildlife. Deers came directly into our camp. Highly recommend."

Stumbled upon this spot while searching for an alternative after EVERYTHING down 75 (Petit Lake, Alturas Lake, etc.) was absolutely packed during the Covid camping revival of late, and I was really glad I did! It was very different than the lakeside campground with mountain views I had sought in the Sawtooths, but it provided a beautifully quiet, relaxing stay that I was grateful for and loved. The only reason for the deducted star is the proximity to Yankee Fork Rd, which is only feet away. Overall I would definitely recommend it as a low key spot for a night under the stars without a crowd.
Great campground, very clean, nice host. Be careful using Apple maps
Ghost towns, cool areas 😎 awesome place, I recommend checking it out!
