Was pretty neat. Picnic table, fire grill, bathroom facilities. (I was there on a full moon 10/17/24 woods got real dark, then the moon lit up different slivers of the forest as the night went on.) I liked I didn't have to set up my tent and sleep on the cold ground. I stayed much warmer in my truck. There were over 30 spots easy to choose from. Picked mine out hung the paper and came back several hours later at sunset and ate and slept.
We love how close the park is. Lots of cool camping places. The trails are well kept and the hosts are amazing and also lucky to be hosts. Lol. The place is beautiful and vert relaxing. My cats love to walk the trails. $20 a night. And worth is. Bring your own firewood and enjoy!!
This was a great Campground. Gorgeous old forest with nice trails, pretty private campsites and clean bathrooms (with soap AND paper towels!) No showers. Even through the highway is nearby, we weren't bothered by it. There must be a shooting range nearby though because we heard gunshots in the morning as we were packing up. Overall a great experience, would stay here again.
My fiance and i camped here 2 nights in our camper van. The sites are well kept and clean. And the trails are absolutely stunning. Being from Indiana we don't get to spend time in the woods like this. Only downside is that there is only one full hookup site. So you have to get there early if you want to snag that site!
This campsite is a hidden gem! For a $20 fee per night, you'll experience a unique and beautiful atmosphere. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and there's even a lady who sells firewood by the restrooms.
