There are very good things and a few bad things about this park. First, the location is great. It's nearby a lot of really good restaurants, and has a store and restaurant on the property with fire tables and music. The grounds are mostly spotless, everything is neat and orderly, the entry and exit system is great. The pools, hot tubs, and bathroom facilities are very well maintained and clean. We really enjoyed the staff and facilities. That said, this park isn't for everyone. We are pretty quiet people and like a quiet, peaceful park. This park is not that. It was packed with kids, which made it pretty loud and chaotic. The spaces are very close together - our basic spot had about 3 ft of grass between the next spots, and part of that is taken up by the power poles. No privacy, you're basically looking in each other's windows, and there's more rows in front and behind. Tight quarters, and not really a "camping" vibe like a state park. Adding to the chaos - many people have outdoor speakers (not allowed, but didn't seem to be enforced?) so most nights we could hear several people's music and the live music at the restaurant, even with windows closed. If you have kids, you might be willing to sacrifice quiet for having your kids play outside. Personally, we found it chaotic and jarring, and asked if we could check out early and get a refund. We were told no and tried to make the best of it. The other downside was having small dogs there. I have one dog who is a little skittish, and I ended up having to carry him to the dog park because there are kids on bikes, scooters, skates, etc whizzing by constantly within the park and he was terrified. The dog park itself was really disappointing. It was dirty, we both stepped in dog messes left by other owners. It's also partially steeply sloped and awkward, and there was water drainage that made it hard to avoid getting mud on shoes and paws. There are so many beautiful sites in the park, but the dog park is crammed in a small, wet, steep corner.... Not ideal. We ended up driving the dogs to a different park in town just so they'd have a clean place to go (and to save our shoes). All in all, if you're looking for quiet, this likely isn't the place for you. But the facilities are lovely and it's a great vacation location, if you're not opposed to some chaos.

We decided to do the "glamping" option in winter because it stated that they were heated. There was no power in our tent. We were absolutely freezing. My dog could not stop shivering. They leave the outdoor lights on all night that shine into your tent and kept me awake. The highway noise is so loud and not relaxing at all. The communal bathrooms are not regularly cleaned and with many children on the property, they get dirty quite quickly. When I brought up the lack of heat to the staff, they just said they would "put it in the notes" and offered nothing to make up for such an uncomfortable night. Definitely not worth the money we paid. Will not be back!

My family, friends and I have been coming here for years even though it's expensive for what you get. Even then, the customer service had always been excellent until recently. We had always been allowed to check in a little early if rooms were available. On our last visit we arrived early as usual and the receptionist/cashier told us it would be about an hour before we could get in which was still great. Eventually after her co-worker gave her a dirty look she changed her story and said it would be two hours before we could check in because rooms were being "inspected." Then that story also changed. I understand that each venue has the right to make their visitors wait until the agreed upon check in time, what struck me as very unprofessional was how the story changed from one hour to three hours. In years past they allowed us the ability to check in which was a life saver because our group has several small children. The staff needs to be consistent. If you allow something before and then change customers will be upset. In addition, if one of your employees says one thing and then 30 minutes later that employee changes their story it makes for a very frustrating experience. I come here for my family. I honestly have never been a fan and now the rest of the family feels the same way. There are cheaper and better places to visit. In fact most AIR B&B's offer amenities that are superior for less money. The thing about this place was that it allowed several families to stay here and still have their own cottage or rv spot but, I'd rather not spend anymore money and time at this place and I'd suggest people also refrain from doing so. Go somewhere else where your business is appreciated and respected.

Me, and 20 of my closest friends/family, chose Flying Flags Buellton for our Thanksgiving destination. We reserved five RV sites adjacent to one another, and a couple of fixed lodging options. Although we clearly brought our own "community" with us, we quickly and easily made dozens of new friends all over this campground. Everything from the lounge area, the hot tub, basketball court, and nearby "tavern" became a new opportunity to meet amazing people - a perfect complement to the celebration of Thanksgiving. The campground was immaculate and the staff were courteous and extremely helpful. I should take this moment to recognize "Bella." From the moment we entered the front store, Bella was smiling and welcoming. She assisted us in finding everything we needed and gave us wonderful insights to upcoming activities and surroundings. When employees are as happy and enthusiastic, as Bella obviously was, It provides a genuine confidence in the atmosphere of the campground altogether. Only two nights into our stay, our group was already making plans for our next visit!

This place is done it right. It's a great atmosphere, great staff, a few pools, and conveniently located near everything the tiny town of Buellton has to offer. It feels like a little resort. They have a pizza restaurant and grill with a big outdoor fire pit and patio. They have movie nights sometimes, music, etc.
