The campgrounds are nice and clean. They offer great areas for kids to play safely. It's not too big, but big enough for walking and exploring. They do offer tiny houses, please know when they say tiny they truly mean tiny. Overall, this was my 3rd visit and it was as usually a pleasant experience, can't wait to return next year around the same time
Very nice campground with spacious, concrete, level sites, 50 AMP & full hookup. WiFi is great when it is on, but we did experience frequent interruptions. Office staff very nice & helpful. Laundry facilities need some attention, but price is good at $1.50 a load. Nice paved path behind campground for walks. Generally very quiet. Because this is a nice park, I did not want one incident to outweigh the positives but I will say, it was one of the worse campground experiences we ever had (we fulltime, so have been to over 200 campgrounds). They had a very loud karaoke DJ from 7-10 PM. It was so loud and totally unexpected. It seems it was a group in the park that hired the DJ for an event, not sure, but the management certainly allowed it. I’m sure many kids and adults had fun and it did end at a reasonable time, but it was 3 hrs of very loud noise. For people paying to stay over night and just wanting a quiet place, I recommend you inquire about possible events if you plan to come in on a weekend.
Nice close to highway campground. Just spent a night and arrived after hours. Easy to find our spot and it was level and easy to park. The office and store looked very nice was disappointed I had to leave before exploring the whole campground. We have an older Motorhome and there was no problem staying there.
Sites were nice and level, wifi didn't work well, bath and shower room was nice and clean. Laundry room prices were good but AC didn't work to good while there. Easy to get to off the hwy even though it was 8 miles away
We spent 4 weeks here. This is a beautiful piece of property with a variety of sites with ample space. We enjoyed the paved nature walk through the woods and the location was very central to Cincinnati, Lexington, and Louisville. The biggest thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars is the pool and restrooms. The couple of times I used the restrooms they were always a mess and in need of attention. The pool was the biggest disappointment. It's dirty! No one ever cleans it; we just watched them throw some chemicals in from time to time. The walls are slick with algae, there was sediment and dirt at the bottom that was there the whole month, and the amount of dead bugs floating was out of control. I emailed the office about this and no response. We also spoke to several other campers who felt the same way and many who would go use the skimmer before even getting in the water - NOT something guests should have to do to enjoy this amenity. With a little more pride in ownership this place would be top notch. Best of luck!
Our family's favorite place to camp. Love the location, love the staff, love this place!!!
