Love this campground, smell of pine trees, water is great for swimming and fishing, you can ride your bikes around, or hike , it’s close to town if you forgot something. Campsites are big roads are paved, beautiful quiet campground. Probably the nicest az state park. Good luck trying to get in here on the weekend though. Plan on booking months in advance.
Beautiful Campground. Our site had full hookups even sewer. It is very quiet and peaceful around here. Show Low is a nice new clean town with a lot of nice restaurants and breweries. Check out the buffalo nickel if you come
Road is clean, you r near to city, this is not wilderness camping. Saw lots bugs, tarantula. Squirrels play all morning. Bathroom clean and hotel fancy. One campsite has bathroom that include shower, they have hot water switch to use too. Not lots activity for kids unless u have kayak or paddleboard. Rental are available but $40 over is cost. They have small store for fish boat, food drink n best life jacket n kid fishing pole. Fire pit and grill to use at campsite. Water pump 2-3 per loop site. Campsite and rv trailer are separate sides. Easy. Road path are good to bring roller skate, bike, skateboard. Beautiful sunfish in water and crawdad. They don't have lots good spot for shade aat campsite. Hard so I look around n make note which campsite have good spot for hammock. You have lake view campsite and careful most are rocks cliff.
Probably one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed at, ever. Can’t beat the price, accommodations abundant & well cared for. Lots of shade in the RV campsites, and this place has space to roam. We got the very last spot…..I can see why it’s full. And the staff is more than friendly, I could live here….seriously….buy a ranger uniform at the thrift store…see how far that gets me 🤠
Such a beautiful little lake in the mountains. The parking lots were accessible, the facilities were new and maintained, the beaches were clean, and the pier was safe. We fished and swam. You can rent boats and there’s a walking path all around the lake.
I. Love. This. Place! First time ever and the campground is clean, flushing toilets, showers and great campsites. I think what really sets this place apart is the lake and that it’s a small quiet lake, no jet skis or surfboats. Lots of canoes/paddle boards and fishing and swimming. What a peaceful place that is super close to show low to grab food/forgotten items/gas. In the summer there is an unlimited amount of places to go and things to see. This is my new favorite “escape the valley heat” location for the summer!
The ranger that checked us in was so sweet and helpful. I felt so bad that my dogs were barking at her so much, but she was able to give us directions regardless. She also gave us an Easter egg! 🐣 Our campsite was nice, but there was trash in the grill and chicken bones around the area. Our neighbors were also too close and were noisy/played music until 11pm. I wish the host here gave them a warning to shut the music down at quiet hours. The views and bathroom made up for the cons! The bathroom here is the cleanest I've ever seen at a campsite, and the water was hot. I also liked the cute hiking trail that is accessible from the campsites. We camped at Osprey 12. I think the campsites left of it is a double, so maybe choose a different site if you want some peace and quiet.
