The campsite is actually pretty great. Best part was there were bear boxes so you do not have to worry about hanging your food. I only had a rough experience due to a storm had rolled through when I was 2 miles from the campsite. What made it worst was the “foot bridge” was actually a cable bridge. I could not cross the cables because I had a service animal with me, therefore I had to suck it up and walk through horse ford and the water was shin/knee deep and about 30 something degrees all while carrying a dog.
Very pretty campground looking up to towards Ptarmigan tunnel. Near the lake for easy access to water for filtering. Additionally, the food prep area has plenty of space for multiple groups.
5 large spots, a food prep area, 2 bear boxes and a pit toilet. All located close to the lake. Going there starting from the Belly River trailhead, the suspension bridges were put down. That means wading (knee deep) through cold water
What a spectacular campsite. Relatively easy to get to. A huge seating area, and bear lockers!
Another spectacular camp site with amazing picturesque views! In the middle of the night I was awakened by a giant rock slide.
