We stayed a few nights in the new equestrian camp at Fort Custer. I love the fact that they have electric sites for the equestrians. The trails were great and we really enjoyed the riding. We will definitely go back
Very nice place to stage and go trail riding on your horse.
Had a great day of trail riding on some well maintained trails. Can’t wait to return
1/2 mile west of the rustic Equestrian Campground, in the Recreation Area Campground, I had the best camp shower experience in my 60 years of camping. It's just off the 5,000 mile long North Country Trail. All 5 shower booths in this new restroom building (c. 2024) are wheelchair accessible (large unisex shower also has its own toilet and sink). Shower rooms' celestory ventilation prevents those cold drafts through a door vent. Smooth terrazzo stone floors can be slippery when wet. Air hand dryers in the toilet area, with transom windows for fresh summer breezes. ☀️ It's near a swamp, so summer mosquitos are abundant, but not a problem for us "winter" campers.
