Environment: Fort Lewis Cabins offers a potentially wonderful and quiet lakeside experience, with cabins situated right on the lake. The location can provide a sense of tranquility, especially during quieter times like early mornings when it's nice to walk by the lake and dock. However, it's important to note that the freeway is very close, which may result in morning noise. Weekends are reported to be busy and loud due to boat activity on the water with music. While the natural setting can be peaceful, the proximity to the freeway and weekend activity should be considered.

Features: The cabins are equipped with internet and a TV (though one guest reported not using it, except for some karaoke). Rooms include a refrigerator and hot water. The furniture is described as nice, with the exception of the full-size bed, which one guest found uncomfortable. It is advisable to bring an extra blanket as temperature inside the cabin can vary. Some cabins feature a nice patio suitable for coffee, reading, or dining. The cabin on the end is noted to have a large eating living room. While the water quality of the lake is described as a "little dirty" with mentions of potential "swimmers itch" and visible oil on the surface, it still attracts fishermen and women. Guests are advised to wash off after contact with the water, similar to a pool. The cabin floors are mentioned as being dirty.

Customer Reviews
This was a wonderful quiet place. Full on wonderlust experience with the cabins right on the lake. Came up to see/ pay my respects to my units Afghanistan memorial & was met with this bald eagle right after I came back from that. Thunder in the sky as well. THUNDERBOLT!
Spent many days lake side! The water is a little dirty, most say to beware of “swimmers itch” but there were a fair amount of fishermen and women out. Just be sure to wash off, similar to a pool. It sad but you can see oil on the surface of the water. Weekends are busy and loud. The boats are on the water with lots of music. Folks are very kind, attentive and considerate. The freeway is very close so the mornings have a rumble but it’s quite peaceful. The cabin floors are dirty!!! Has internet and tv(we didn’t watch) except for some karaoke. The room is well stocked with a refrigerator and hot water nice furniture except for the bed. My back is wrecked from that full size bed. Bring an extra blanket as it can be sweltering or cold. It has a nice patio for coffee or reading or dinner. With lake and dock nearby it was nice to walk it in the quiet morning. We enjoyed our time there with family and friends. The cabin on the end has the large eating living room.
The docks are rundown. There is no way for a disabled veteran to get to a bathroom from the main dock. There needs to be a portable toilet put closer to the fishing areas. If you have mobility issues or restroom issues, do NOT come here. When we visited, LEOs allowed extremely loud and VULGAR music to be blasted to the point the entire camping area FULL OF CHILDREN could hear it. It was disgusting and we left. The positives: The host did a great job. The facilities are clean and well kept. The host was helpful :)
I always loved to stay here of the kids. I just wish that the staff would go to the cabins and actually make sure that they’re clean and safe last time he rented too many things were broken they were nails and screws in the floor. I feel as if they rented the cabin out to us just to make the money did not clarify any issues before hand, and did not offer to make it right or reimburses.
Great cabin and wonderful view!
