This insight is crucial for planning your visit. Beyond the minor considerations, the overall picture painted is one of a welcoming, well-maintained park that makes for an excellent home base for your Florida adventures. Let's delve deeper into what makes Fort Pierce West KOA Holiday a great choice for locals looking to enjoy the best of our Sunshine State.

Location and Accessibility

Fort Pierce West KOA Holiday is conveniently located at 3180 S Jenkins Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34981, USA. This address places it strategically within Fort Pierce, a vibrant city on Florida's southeastern coast, part of what is affectionately known as the "Treasure Coast." The campground's location offers an excellent balance between accessibility and proximity to a wide array of attractions.

For Floridians, reaching this KOA is incredibly straightforward. It's easily accessible from major highways, including Interstate 95 (take exit 129, head east on Route 70 for 1/4 mile, then right onto S Jenkins Rd) and the Florida Turnpike (use exit 152, head east on Route 70 for 1/2 mile, then right onto S Jenkins Rd). This makes it a convenient stopover for those traveling up or down the state, or a fantastic destination for a weekend getaway from cities like Orlando, Miami, or Tampa. Its "close enough to beach and dining options" location is a significant advantage, allowing campers to quickly get to the beautiful Hutchinson Island beaches, explore downtown Fort Pierce, or find various dining choices. The presence of a WaWa just down the road is also a practical convenience. While some sites, particularly those backing onto Edwards Road, can experience truck noise, the campground's layout allows for quieter sites closer to the office or the smaller lakes, indicating thoughtful design despite external factors. Overall, the accessibility and prime location make it an easy choice for Florida residents.

Had a great time at this KOA in Ft. Pierce. The campground was very spacious and very clean. Staff is super friendly. Great location close enough to beach and dining options. WaWa just down the road is helpful, as their store/office hours M-S are only 9-5. That was a bit of a surprise, as would expect the store to be open until 9 PM. We will be back!

This is a nice campground. The sites are spaced well. You're not right on top of your neighbors. Full hookups. Pool looks nice, staff is friendly and helpful. The sole reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is Edwards Road. We got a cheap site and those sites back to Edwards. Dump tucks and other large trucks go through there 24/6 (Saturday night and Sunday are quieter). Incredibly loud. We spent 3 nights here, and I'm not sure we went more than 20 consecutive minutes without being jarred awake by a loud vehicle. If you plan to stay here, be sure not to take the cheap site, get one by the office or lakes. The sites east of the office around the smaller lake are much quieter. You can hardly hear the road there. It's like a different campground.

Camp ground is well maintained, amenities are well kept and clean, and location is pretty good. The management other than Heather all needs to be fired though. Penny is very rude, nosy, has no kind of professionalism or manners, and is just a honorary old woman. We’ve stayed at Koa’s before and had pleasant experiences, after dealing with her never again! Go to Treasure Coast Rv resort. All pads are concrete and management is very nice and it’s even cheaper. Glad we had a falling out to be honest.

Had a great time on our first camping trip with our new camper. Penny was great and changed my reservation when I entered the wrong dates on-line. Opps. Chris escorted us to our site and being new to our camper, he informed this rookie of many things on our camper as his brother had the same model as us. He was a wealth of knowledge for us!! Thanks Chris! We will definitely be back at one point.

Staff is extremely friendly. The spaces are very large. The pool is heated. The common area easily accessible. I have never stayed at a K away where the staff has gone above and beyond as well as this one. We love KOA‘s. We highly recommend this spot for short or long stays. Plus they have coconuts!
