Have been coming here since 2015. Always fun and relaxing. Sometimes you have a few people who think the rules don't apply to them, but the site host puts them in their place. Beautiful scenery and usually good fishing. Love coming here.
Me and my dog Murphy had an amazing week here... Nobody told us it was going to be in the 90's and we nearly melted. Luckily the lake is beautiful and cool, and so are the people. We'll be back for sure!
Another one of the premier campgrounds on lake roosevelt. This one is very popular in the summer months. You always need weekend reservations. You sometimes can get lucky mid week without one. The natural pests of summer and fall are present here. Bring mosquito repellent and a few bee traps if your are staying more than a few days. The campsites are paved for your vehicle to park on. The sites are not really on top of each, so there is some privacy between sites. There is fishing from the bank but all Washington regulations for fishing must be followed. The toilets are pit style but clean.
It is a fine camp ground. It has a very limited sandy beach. Our trip was also negatively impacted by too many late night drunk neighbors and the regular stink of pot smoke. It just isn't where we want to take our kids camping. My kids did tell me to mention the clay at the beach. It was hours of fun playing with and shaping the clay.
Nice boat launch ramp here. Mosquitos can be a little annoying. Its a self service pay. Only one gas station when you get there. Walleye and smallmouth are the fish biting on nightcrawlers.
I've only used the boat launch. The launch is easy to use, has a good depth and good docks. Easy access restrooms.
Very busy early May. Lots of campsites VERY close together. We only stayed because of 50% off with annual senior pass. Would not make it a long term stay. Very friendly staff. Dump station closed, no potable water anytime.
