We stayed at the campground for 2 nights in our 28 foot RV pulling a 10 foot motorcycle trailer. Had a great experience there. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the campsite was large and clean. We thought we were getting a pull-through site and it wasn’t, but was large enough to easily back up and pull out. Very quiet at night. We would stay there again.
The hosts are very friendly and the sites are very clean. Very convenient to Flagstaff but yet you felt like you were in the wilderness. My 5 stars does not include the Porta Potties as we did not use them so I can not rate them. Highly recommend.
Took my family for a nice little camping getaway, but we didn't realize the County Fair was the same weekend AT the campgrounds. Instead of a nice quiet vacation, it was loud blaring music until 11pm Also, this is NOT a good place for tent camping. We were swarmed by wasps the entire time, starting the moment we got there. You can't cook or relax unless you have a trailer
Great campground, crowded but respectful. Staff is ever present and porta potties were cleaned on the regular. wood and ice at the shop and great access to ropes course, bike park, disc golf and the fair! always a wonderful time.
I've stayed here twice now and both were great experiences. They are mostly friendly and helpful, and it's an amazing area and location. Some things are a bit outdated like the site, booking/changes, and the check-in process, but if you aren't in a rush and have a little patience those won't even be an issue. The 1 and only negative I have to say is the last night on my recent trip a staff member was not super friendly about music playing 10+ minutes before quiet time. Other camps were hammering in stakes, blowing up air mattresses, and making plenty of noise which was fine by us, but an individual approached us at 8:49pm telling us to shut the music off (not asking or advising it would be quiet hours soon). That rubbed us the wrong way considering quiet hours were 9pm and there were at least a dozen better ways to go about it, but other than that it was great up there! They take great care of the grounds and it's a simple and easy process. I am looking forward to going back soon!
Pros: Campground host super friendly and helpful. Lots of nice pine trees. AZ Extreme Adventure is very close by. Lots of great trails for hiking and biking. Close to Flagstaff without being in Flagstaff. Cons: Very dusty. Spots are small and extremely close together. Felt like camping in a dirt parking lot with some pine trees along with 500 of my closest friends. No dark skies to be found. Lots of lights at night and generators galore. If you want a place to hang out in the "woods" and sort of feel like camping, this is not a bad spot. Great to have something close to Flagstaff. Staff are super helpful and friendly. However, as another reviewer said, for the cost there are almost no amenities (port-a-johns, no showers, and no running water that I could see).
