Nice historical site. Short drive off I25. Road is narrow and winding. RV parking is very limited at the visitor's center ... you will need to pull in directly and back out. Those towing should be prepared. Walk around the grounds was pleasant on well maintained paths. Part of the site was closed due to weather damage during my visit. I was the sole visitor for nearly an hour.

Great park with so much history! It even appears that the park are in the process of restoring some of the buildings.

Nice location to stop. Beautiful countryside and the ruins are nice. Park staff were friendly, but a little dismissive of the kids in their Jr. Ranger program. Very little space for RVs, if you are traveling with them and park staff won't let you take up multiple spaces to park They let us park in the entry area and walk in.

Lots to learn here, the site housed 3 forts back in time, each with its own fascinating history. It’s also very cool to look at! We spent time walking around with a self guided map. It was a very windy, early April, day - there’s nothing to cut down the wind, so very cold. Wear layers. The rangers were very knowledgeable and patient in answering questions. Very accessible ♿️, well maintained grounds. Plenty of parking, clean bathrooms.
