Four Oaks RV Resort Introduce
š **Introduction / Overview: More Than a Stopover, A Community Stay**
For North Carolina residents and travelers navigating the busy I-95 corridor, **Four Oaks RV Resort** offers a pragmatic, friendly, and easily accessible place to rest. Located right off Exit 90, this establishment serves a unique dual purpose, combining a small motel and a dedicated RV park, making it an ideal stopover point for those traveling between the Northeast and Florida, or a convenient base for exploring central North Carolina attractions like Raleigh and the Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield.
While the name implies a large, sprawling luxury complexāand as one reviewer noted, it may not be a resort in the traditional senseāit excels at providing essential services with a quiet, clean, and highly welcoming atmosphere. It is known for its "easy pull through site" convenience and is highly recommended by transient visitors as a "perfect overnighter." The park fosters a respectful environment, which is evident in the resident community: one visitor was "very impressed with how quiet and respectful" the resident children were while playing. This sense of peace and order, despite being near a major interstate, is a significant draw.
The resort caters to a mix of short-term travelers and longer-term guests, offering competitive daily, weekly, and monthly rates. With approximately 18 or more RV hook-up sites and adjoining lodging, Four Oaks RV Resort focuses on delivering full hookups, strong connectivity (Wi-Fi and cable), and genuine Southern hospitality from its small, family-owned management team.
š **Location and Accessibility**
Four Oaks RV Resort is strategically positioned at the intersection of major transportation routes in Johnston County, North Carolina, maximizing its utility for travelers.
- Address: 4596 U.S. Hwy 301 S, Four Oaks, NC 27524, USA

Key Accessibility Points:
- Interstate Access: The campground is situated right off I-95 at Exit 90, making for "easy access off main highways" and minimal detours, which is crucial for overnighters.
 - Regional Travel Hub: Its location on US Hwy 301/701 makes it a direct route to coastal destinations like Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, and it is only about 40 miles south of Raleigh, positioning it perfectly for travelers exploring the state capital region.
 - Big Rig Friendly: The sites, which include Super Pull Through Sites up to 95' long, are designed to accommodate big rigs, ensuring that large motorhomes and fifth wheels can navigate and park with ease.

One noted challenge, common in multi-use parks, is that some internal lanes may be used by residents and delivery drivers, potentially causing dust near certain sites (like site #23). However, the overall "easy in and out" convenience and excellent highway access remain the primary benefit of the location.
š ļø **Services Offered: Full Hookups and Essential Comforts**
Four Oaks RV Resort prioritizes providing comprehensive, reliable utility services and necessary amenities for comfortable, stress-free RV travel and living.
- Full Hookup Sites: Offering water, sewer, and electric hookups (20, 30, and 50 amp) at all RV sites, catering to all sizes of rigs.
 - Connectivity: Free Streaming-capable Wi-Fi is available throughout the campground and adjoining motel, along with Free Cable TV.
 - Restrooms & Showers: Available Showers and Public Restrooms for guest use, complementing the full hookups for a more traditional camping experience.
 - Laundry Facilities: On-site Laundry Facilities are provided for the convenience of both short-term and long-term guests.
 - Propane & Dump Station: Propane filling services and a Sanitary Dump Station are available to meet the necessary service requirements of RVers.
 - Lodging Options: Adjoining Motel/Lodging rooms are available for non-RV travelers or accompanying family members.
 - Pet-Friendly: The park is generally considered pet-friendly, accommodating travelers with dogs and cats (standard rules and fees may apply).

š **Features / Highlights: Convenience, Value, and Community**
The primary appeal of Four Oaks RV Resort lies in its blend of affordable practicality and unique local features, making it a valuable resource for North Carolina travelers.
- Big Rig Convenience: Specializing in long sites up to 95 feet and featuring Pull-Thru Designs ensures that even the largest RVs can easily access and utilize the park.
 - Friendly, Quiet Atmosphere: Despite the mix of short-term and long-term guests, the park is repeatedly described as "very quiet and clean" with "friendly residents."
 - Local Attractions: The location is a gateway to several local points of interest, including the Carolina Premium Outlets and six different golf courses nearby. It is also the closest campground to the family-friendly Tucker Lake.
 - Free Basic Amenities: Complimentary services include Free Wi-Fi, Free Cable TV, and Free Ice, with a Free Continental Breakfast offered on Friday through Sunday (availability should always be confirmed).
 - On-Site Recreation: Amenities include a Playground, Picnic Area, and Barbecue Grills for outdoor family enjoyment, as well as a Picnic Pavilion for group use.
 - Small, Family-Owned Care: Guests consistently praise the "small, friendly, clean" nature and the "friendly and caring staff" (often described as "Mom and Pop" owners) who reside on the property.

š **Contact Information**
For booking reservations, especially for long-term stays or to inquire about the best site type for a large rig, North Carolina locals and travelers should contact the resort directly.

ā **What is Worth Choosing: The I-95 Travelerās Reliable Home Base**
Four Oaks RV Resort is worth choosing for the North Carolinian or I-95 traveler who prioritizes location, convenience, and functional amenities for a simple, quiet stopover or an extended affordable stay.
This resort is the superior choice for those who need:
- Unbeatable I-95 Access: Its immediate proximity to Exit 90 makes it one of the most convenient campgrounds in the state for breaking up a long journey or setting up a base camp before heading to Raleigh or the coast.
 - Big Rig Accommodations: The specialized focus on long pull-through sites and 50-amp full hookups means travelers with large, modern RVs can rest assured they will fit and connect easily.
 - Excellent Value for Full Service: The reasonable rates for full hookups, combined with free Wi-Fi and cable, offer outstanding value compared to other commercial parks in the area.
 - A Quiet, Community Feel: Despite the traffic proximity, the park maintains a peaceful, clean atmosphere and is managed by friendly owners who provide a personal, caring serviceāa quality often missing at major chain campgrounds.

If you need a reliable, clean, and friendly place to park your rig with full hookups right off the major interstate, Four Oaks RV Resort is your clear choice in Johnston County.

Customer Reviews
We stayed a week. This park is not a resort, it is a motel, mobile home park with a few rv spaces. There is a train that frequently passes, however that was not an issue for us. The park is very quiet and clean. We noticed several resident children playing and we were very impressed with how quiet and respectful they all seemed. Our only complaint would be that in our site #23, you will notice that residents and delivery drivers use site 24 as an entrance/exit to the park. This causes a noise/dust issue as they drive within about 12 ft of your rig.
Perfect overnighter! Easy access off main highways, very quiet, friendly residents, quick check-in, and easy pull through site. Highly recommend and definitely will be back.
We stayed one night in the campground while passing through the area in our van. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The bathroom setup is kinda weird. You go into one of the vacant hotel rooms and use the bathroom. It was clean and private.
We stayed one night because only 10min from family we were visiting on way back from Florida and right off I95. Sites nice and big pull thru full hook ups. Had to do extra leveling but not big deal. Quiet even with trains going by at night. This is not a resort. Its a place to park for awhile. Friendly staff.
This campground, for our needs, checked off all the boxes. Literally 5 minutes of Interstate 95, yet no road noise. Very close to railroad tracks, yet no crossing guard or train whistle noise. Full hook up with 20, 30 and or 50 amp service. Sites are level side to side. Passport America with more than fare pricing. Great walking areas for our dog including pet poo stations and poo bags. Mom and Pop style campground which they are clearly in the process of updating. Absolutely would stay again.
