🚐 **Introduction / Overview: More Than a Stopover, A Community Stay**
For North Carolina residents and travelers navigating the busy I-95 corridor, **Four Oaks RV Resort** offers a pragmatic, friendly, and easily accessible place to rest. Located right off Exit 90, this establishment serves a unique dual purpose, combining a small motel and a dedicated RV park, making it an ideal stopover point for those traveling between the Northeast and Florida, or a convenient base for exploring central North Carolina attractions like Raleigh and the Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield.
While the name implies a large, sprawling luxury complex—and as one reviewer noted, it may not be a resort in the traditional sense—it excels at providing essential services with a quiet, clean, and highly welcoming atmosphere. It is known for its "easy pull through site" convenience and is highly recommended by transient visitors as a "perfect overnighter." The park fosters a respectful environment, which is evident in the resident community: one visitor was "very impressed with how quiet and respectful" the resident children were while playing. This sense of peace and order, despite being near a major interstate, is a significant draw.
The resort caters to a mix of short-term travelers and longer-term guests, offering competitive daily, weekly, and monthly rates. With approximately 18 or more RV hook-up sites and adjoining lodging, Four Oaks RV Resort focuses on delivering full hookups, strong connectivity (Wi-Fi and cable), and genuine Southern hospitality from its small, family-owned management team.
📍 **Location and Accessibility**
Four Oaks RV Resort is strategically positioned at the intersection of major transportation routes in Johnston County, North Carolina, maximizing its utility for travelers.
Key Accessibility Points:
One noted challenge, common in multi-use parks, is that some internal lanes may be used by residents and delivery drivers, potentially causing dust near certain sites (like site #23). However, the overall "easy in and out" convenience and excellent highway access remain the primary benefit of the location.
🛠️ **Services Offered: Full Hookups and Essential Comforts**
Four Oaks RV Resort prioritizes providing comprehensive, reliable utility services and necessary amenities for comfortable, stress-free RV travel and living.
🌟 **Features / Highlights: Convenience, Value, and Community**
The primary appeal of Four Oaks RV Resort lies in its blend of affordable practicality and unique local features, making it a valuable resource for North Carolina travelers.
📞 **Contact Information**
For booking reservations, especially for long-term stays or to inquire about the best site type for a large rig, North Carolina locals and travelers should contact the resort directly.
The front desk operates during limited hours (often 9 AM - 9 PM), and travelers should plan their check-in time accordingly, as the resort does not typically offer after-hours check-in.
✅ **What is Worth Choosing: The I-95 Traveler’s Reliable Home Base**
Four Oaks RV Resort is worth choosing for the North Carolinian or I-95 traveler who prioritizes location, convenience, and functional amenities for a simple, quiet stopover or an extended affordable stay.

We stayed a week. This park is not a resort, it is a motel, mobile home park with a few rv spaces. There is a train that frequently passes, however that was not an issue for us. The park is very quiet and clean. We noticed several resident children playing and we were very impressed with how quiet and respectful they all seemed. Our only complaint would be that in our site #23, you will notice that residents and delivery drivers use site 24 as an entrance/exit to the park. This causes a noise/dust issue as they drive within about 12 ft of your rig.
Perfect overnighter! Easy access off main highways, very quiet, friendly residents, quick check-in, and easy pull through site. Highly recommend and definitely will be back.
We stayed one night in the campground while passing through the area in our van. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The bathroom setup is kinda weird. You go into one of the vacant hotel rooms and use the bathroom. It was clean and private.
We stayed one night because only 10min from family we were visiting on way back from Florida and right off I95. Sites nice and big pull thru full hook ups. Had to do extra leveling but not big deal. Quiet even with trains going by at night. This is not a resort. Its a place to park for awhile. Friendly staff.
This campground, for our needs, checked off all the boxes. Literally 5 minutes of Interstate 95, yet no road noise. Very close to railroad tracks, yet no crossing guard or train whistle noise. Full hook up with 20, 30 and or 50 amp service. Sites are level side to side. Passport America with more than fare pricing. Great walking areas for our dog including pet poo stations and poo bags. Mom and Pop style campground which they are clearly in the process of updating. Absolutely would stay again.
