I like this place! You can have camp fires in their fire rings! No trees though, so no privacy. The water level in the lake was at an all time low when we were here in 2020, so the bottom when you waded in was pretty gross and gunky, but it washes off and the beach is awesome. It can get a little windy at times here too, so bring a kite for your kids and they'll have a blast. Make sure to get an activity schedule when you pay your park fee. The rangers have some fun activities set up throughout the weekends for kids. I think it was two or three each day when we were there.

No power or hookups but most of the spots are pull through. The pit toilets are reasonably clean. Picnic tables at most of the spots. Great first night out of the season for us.

No trees or shade of any kind. Cactus everywhere. No snakes that I saw but I did come across a toad or two muttering obscenities under their breath. Not friendly like the Budweiser frogs of yesteryear.

Beware of the flies and mosquitoes! Camping spots are pretty close together, so theres not much privacy, and there are not many trees for shade. On the plus side, you are close to the lake from any of the camp sites here.

All of Fox Hills has been updated to 50amp electric. It looks as though there may be full hookups in the future!
