My family and I recently stayed at this campground for a weekend getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Shortly after settling in, a woman who claimed to be the owner approached us in a very aggressive and disrespectful manner, stating that we were parked slightly too close to the neighboring site. Rather than handling the situation calmly, she proceeded to shine a flashlight in our faces and escalate the situation unnecessarily. Despite my polite request for her to stop shining the light directly at us, her behavior became increasingly erratic. She then contacted the sheriff, and we were ultimately forced to pack up our belongings and move our children and tent in the dark. To make matters worse, we were not given any sort of refund, despite being asked to leave. This was an extremely upsetting experience for our family. Based on the lack of professionalism and poor customer service, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this campground to others.
Well maintained park with a pond for swimming, water slide and other end is for fishing. There is a swimming pool as well. The bathroom/shower was clean and neat. The area within the park is very nice for walking but just outside the park your in farming country with country roads for long walks with beautiful sunsets. The lady at the desk was so nice with recommendations on places to eat in town which was less then 15 minutes away.
I was disappointed in the campground. It seems like most of the people there are there year round or for the summer season. There was a lot of golf cart traffic. The road was near our camper and a kid kept riding their dirt bike up and down the road. There was someone playing music and later a hockey game outside. We could hear a dog barking outside down the hill. The campground itself was ok. The owners were friendly. We used the laundry which worked well. It was just as not as quiet as I would have liked. I’m sure it would be great with kids with the pool and the fishing pond.
Loved this place, it's close to home. The price is cheap. There's a jungle gym for the kids also you have the lake or pool to choose to swim in. We'll definitely be going back and hoping to be able to take vacation and camp here around August.
Foxfire is awesome! They got a nice pond with plenty of inflatables for fun. Boats for riding on, a sectional to fish in and plenty of RV and tent spots. And everyone is so friendly there is a real sense of community. The owners are happy to answer any questions and more than willing to help out. Even their sons were asking if I needed help with anything. Great place to go for any getaway.
