First, the staff are very nice! The grounds are well maintained and there is some fantastic activities for the whole family. It’s pet friendly (even though we don’t have any ourselves). Getting to the campground is easy, although the sign pointing you to the correct road from Route 52 could be bigger for new campers. My husband had a blast at the fishing pond and I got to sit at the camper and read lol. The areas around the campsites are big too.
First time stay at the KOA campground. Very large Campground with lots to do for those staying there. Had a great view of the Ohio River where you could watch barge’s heading either to or from the dam located just up river from the campground. Easy access in and out of the campgrounds. Very friendly staff. Will most definitely stay here again in the future.
This is our second time camping at Riverview KOA and it was as wonderful as the first time. The views are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the facilities are well kept and modern. We enjoyed fishing in the pond, walking the grounds, and our little boy loved the large playground. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. We'll definitely be back!
Super average campground. No shade trees. No swimming allowed in the lake. I told them I was sleeping in my car and they put me super far from the bathroom even though there were clear spots available. I emailed them to ask for the WiFi password and they told me to go to the office to get it. It was raining at the time. In response to the campground response: I told the guy who took my reservation that I was arriving after hours and he told me just to go straight to my site #18. He should have told me I had a welcome packet. I would have grabbed it. Or just put the wifi-password in the confirmation email? Make it easy for people! Also, they said they gave me an upgrade, but they neglected to tell me that. And why didn't the guy who took my reservation give me that site as an option in the first place? All I'm saying is that when someone tells you they are sleeping in their car, you might want to put them closer to the bathroom. There were plenty of spots available.
We stayed here for one night in our RV on our way to VA. The service was spectacular! The gentleman at the desk searched through his spare parts to try and save us a trip to the hardware store to make a repair. Above and beyond! The grounds are well maintained and the K9 Kamp is nice for our 4 legged family members with shade and a bench for the 2 legged ones. We plan to return often!
