This is a nice State Park. The cabins were great for us and our weekend stay. The fishing was great The first couple of days. However, the water was being let down and the dock was only at about a foot of water the 3rd day. If you visit this area and want fishing or swimming, you will want to visit earlier in the year than September. The camp area was very slow and the staff was rarely seen due to the slowness. The restrooms were clean and the showers were accessible. The shower house is a ways from the camp loop that the cabins were at but still available.

This place is perfect for camping especially with kids. We stayed in the cabins, and they were great. They have a for those hot summer days. There's plenty of parking close by. There's a playground right below the cabins. Access to the boat launch and mooring dock is within walking distance. There's a shower house in the campground next to Freeman Creek.

Huge campground and camping spaces are pretty well spaced, not on top of each other. There is some shade throughout park. Clean restrooms and free showers. Pit toilets also throughout park. Plenty open areas for groups and activities. Some sites have water and power but others are just power.

We always have a good time here but the swimming area is mucky yucky best to have a boat or raft or paddle boards/floats. We stay in the group loop with our large family

Payed more money at this campground and felt like we came up short. Docking your boat overnight at the docks at the campground while you stayed overnight was extra on top of your camping fees. Bathrooms were very dirty and never cleaned the entire time we were there. The noise ordinance was overlooked due to a wedding reception held at the amphitheater, lasting until 2am. The campground just down the lake from this one has a beautifully landscaped & always manicured quiet campground that is cleaned daily, docking isn't extra, fair pricing, & friendly staff.
