We had an excellent experience at the OGC 11, by far the best site at this park. Site has: - Private road (nobody is passing by this site) - Secluded space, no neighbors in close proximity - Cabin with electricity, refrigerator, stove, plenty of shelves for storage and tables - Two porta-potties that are smelly but yet well maintained - Manual water pump that pumps unfiltered water, good for cleaning - Plenty of space for +60 people - Campfire with grill on top of it - Showers are only 5 minutes away - Garbage dumpster is 2 minutes away - Swimming pool is 5 minutes away Park keeps the site very well maintained, highly recommended this site, absolutely a hidden gem of this park. Hopefully pictures help you get a better understanding of this camp site 🙏 Great place for a church retreat & worship :)
Of OG sites 1-11, #11 is the best kept secret. It's at the end of the line so no traffic is passing by your group. It's down in a valley so it's quieter. Ample space for more than 30 tents- I don't know what the site occupancy limit is. There's a cabin on this site and it's use is included with the site rental. There are NO cots though so bring your own or sleep on the floor. There is a working fridge and stove in the cabin. Two porta-johns were on-site and well maintained. There are remnants of other buildings that used to be present. There is a pavillion with tables, an established fire ring, and trees to attach hammocks to. Will be looking to use this site again.
I take my dog Blaze there all the time. The trails are very well kept.
Had a great time with our Trail Life Troop at the group campground. Wish there were a few more trees for some shade, but the place is well kept and a good place to camp. Would definitely go back.
Our church men have been camping here every year for over 20 years, perfect site.
