Frenchy's Hideaways

This place was easy to find. It’s not very far from Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. For us it was a great choice. Reviewing the cabins here, but there are RV hookups for those traveling that way. Six total cabins. Not certain if all the same setup but there do appear to be two styles. A little weird to be so close to the gas company. Not a great view at this location. However, On the positive, down the road from Broasted Dakota (see my review there). Cabins are very affordable and a good fit for a family of four. Bunk beds for the kids, a decent queen bed, regular fridge and sink. Also included a small tv with Roku and a small dining table. Window AC unit and fan work great. Being summer, uncertain about the heater. Small porch but ok if weather nice. Shared grill and picnic table is a so so, but didn’t include in my rating since I never intended on using. Also to note, this place has had a name change. On VRBO it was Pam’s Getaway but now is Frenchy’s. Fine either way but good to note when arriving.

Beautiful cabin and really well maintained. Owners are helpful and friendly. The cabin is very clean and well stocked with day to day essentials. Plenty of room for family and a pet. Nice little deck and then a picnic table. Shared fire pit and grill are nice also. Close to Custer and within 30-40 min of everything we did.

We had both an RV and Cabin, the RV spot was nice and level and really long, there was a very nice picnic table for each spot and a couple fire rings you could use. The Cabin was very nice, really clean and comfortable. They are just outside of Custer and the place was quiet. Owners were extremely nice and helpful. A great little place to stay. Especially if you love Custer park, we were able to ride our UTV there several times, yet be out of the noise of the bigger campgrounds.

This place is a must stay, if you are looking for a cabin! Not only does Paul go out of his way to accommodate your needs; this place can also save your money so you can explore and enjoy, all of the Black Hills, its very quiet and peaceful. You are not too far from anything, and you can cook your own meals with a full kitchen. Hands down, this beats any hotel rate, and if you are looking to explore South Dakota by the time you get back you're going to be too tired, for extra amenities at the campground!

The cabins are great! Inside is nice and cozy, and clean! Everything was ready for us to go when we got here. The outside facilities need cleaned up a little, but overall isn't too bad. The grill has been great to have so far, it's not a cheap grill, it's decent quality. Would recommend to friends.
