Customer Reviews
This place is awesome if you want to get away… And by get away I mean….no internet, hardly any phone service, and serious darkness. I was skeptical about booking this place after reading a previous review from a woman complaint about the owner Maylon. Her quote….May like the month and green like the lawn… 🤣🤣 She was quite stunning to say the least. She drove me around the property for 45 minutes while my husband set up camp. I am not sure if that person (Sandy McFarlin) hit her on a bad day or it just might have not been the right place for her but I am glad I decided to ignore the comment. So I found there is a beautiful lake near by, waterfalls, good food and good people. Pets allowed and welcome. Kids might have a hard time if they need their tablet or social media. I could text but not send photos or search for much. Full hookup, big spacious RV spaces, and beautiful scenery. I give it 5 stars.
Bob Friday is a kind and knowledgeable man and if you want to talk fly fishing he’s more than willing. I stumbled upon this property once a few years back while on a fishing trip through various areas in and around the Shasta-Trinity NF, and I will say that we were treated like family. I will always remember this place and I have a sticker inside my truck.
The park is a beautiful place. Nice size spots. Needs some work on the electric boxes and hook ups. But the very worst of all is the woman who owns and runs the park. She really needs to work on her people skills. We weren't even out of the truck and she is screaming ," who's going to pay me?" This is the second time in two weeks that we had stayed there, the first time she was very short with us. We travel alot and stay in RV parks and this one we will never stay at again!!!!
This is out in the woods, life is quit and slow, deer walk thru the meadow. It's not manicured and paved, it's not remodeled or fresh, no big screen lounge with 24 hr soda machine. I LOVED it. Owners were warm and friendly, grounds were great for our family, perm residents were welcoming. It's great for the outdoorsy family like us. We enjoyed nature walks, crawdading, close proximity to hiking trails and fly fishing river. I didn't use the showers or bathrooms...it's just easier to keep my little kids corralled in the trailer before bedtime. It's the only place I'd go spend time at in the area. I'd go there to relax and play and make great family memories.
Just like camping in the remote woods but all the comforts of home. Quiet trails, scenic ponds and lots of space and huge trees around every spot. Not the usual parking lot and loud people on top of you. Excellent on-premise staff too.
