Froggy's River Resort

We came drive up from Eastern N.C. for our daughter Marines Military Police Graduation. HooRaa. Although this campground is 20 minutes away from gate at Fort Leanord Wood. After researching places and personally seeing the others on our commute to base. Froggys is the place to stay. Still in development (showers and toilet facilities), the space between sites is great. Others in area stack you on top of one an another like a NY City block; Froggys had some space in between. The river is shallow in the area and it border Mark Twain State Parrk/Forest. We searched for arrowheads which are scattered throughout area. The iwner Chris .are our stay great with any help we needed and also sold us a great amount of firewood at the best price I've had at anyplace. I like grass spots so this was perfect. We were mid week stay at end of season. IT is scenic and spots are very level... If your visiting for a Military Graduation or to visit your soldier; your kids and soldier will appreciate the beauty and river access. We didn't float the river due to time of bring our girl back to base. But is definitely a fun activity offered.

We had a great nightly stay! We came for an event through Midwest Adventure Outfitters, the sites were clean, playground was great for the kiddos, and Bill was very accommodating. The lodge has an huge firepit with amazing view. Also, the porta potties were conveniently placed throughout our camping area. Looking forward to the next event!

We camped here for an event by another local business (Midwest Adventure Outfitters). Our spot was right on the river. The grounds are beautiful. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to load up the kayaks and go back during warm weather. Totally a 10 out of 10 recommended!

Loved this campground! Family owned and operated along with their dog, Oliver. The pond is stocked and has a sweet little picturesque walking bridge. Grounds were very clean and had many shadey sites. The gravel bar to the Gasconade was ideal for our group to hang out. We had rented the whole back of the park for a successful event - this place took really great care of us & they even built us a fire IN THE RIVER. You have choices on either side of the river to hang out on, so you're not on top of one another. I didn't get a chance myself to float while there YET, but I heard nothing but good! The shower house was clean and adequate enough for us, but i believe that is what they are building now are bigger bathrooms/shower facilities. Seriously, it's a beautiful camp! Loved this property! I'm going back for sure, and I could imagine bringing the grand babies!

We really enjoyed our stay at Froggy's River Resort. We were there for a disc golf tournament. We stayed in the cabin. Yay. It is great for 4 or fewer. They have a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. A half bath and AC. The golfers also used the campsites and everyone was happy with the types of sites available. We also floated the 4 mile float on the beautiful Gasconade River. Froggy's took really good care of all of us.

We almost left a 1-star review to keep Froggy’s our secret. I mean, why make it harder for us to book next time, right? But we couldn’t do it. This place deserves ALL the stars and then some. 👏🏼👏🏼 The lodge? Massive with plenty of space for our STL/KC crew. It was fully stocked with everything we needed and things we didn’t even know we needed. The fire pit is AMAZING. 🔥 The river was too high to float (thanks Mother Nature) but Bill (the owner) and Chris weren’t about to let that kill the vibe. They made sure we had an unforgettable time anyway. Total legends. Chill, hilarious, and just the kind of people you want around a campfire or in your apocalypse survival crew. We’re already plotting our return! Froggy’s has officially become that place: the one we want to brag about but also gatekeep like our lives depend on it. If you’re lucky enough to book it…just promise you won’t take our weekend.

We arrived early in the season so not everything was "camper ready" we called to verify that there were showers available and was told yes, but when we arrived, the shower house was completely shut down and disconnected. We were VERY IMPRESSED with Robin and her husband Darrell (sorry Robin if I spelled that wrong) they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to turn our disappointment into a enjoyable experience, and because of them, we will be coming back to this campground and bringing friends!!!! For being volunteer "employees" of this camp ground, they take pride in it and go out of their way to make people feel welcome. You should put these guys on the payroll!!!

We rented the lodge out this weekend and it was awesome. It's even bigger than it looks in the pictures. We met and hung out with the owners who were awesome people that worked hard to ensure we had a great time. We also like that it's not too far to drive from KC. We're planning on making it an annual trip.
