Todd and Cara do such a wonderful job running this campground. We've been staying at the campground for decades and have visited here through the past 3 owners. It's usually pretty peaceful and quiet, and even when the campground is "full" it doesn't appear to get overly rowdy. This is a great place to take your family (with kids of all ages) camping. Multiple playground areas, a game room with separate play space specifically for toddlers and younger kiddos, a clean indoor pool! There's a great, long, paved driveway that is perfect to ride your bike! Plus the staff and owners are always really friendly and accommodating. We encourage everybody looking for a clean and easy-going camping experience in Door County to stay at FWC.

Camping is nice. Very family friendly. The owners are kind and the place is well cared for. There is a pool, kids activity area and playground. There is an Adult room (no kid allowed) for a quiet peaceful experience.

This is a fantastic family campground with good, central proximity to all the Door County activities. Facilities are clean, staff are friendly and accommodating, and there weren't any obnoxious people during our 3-night stay. This place is a hidden gem with everything you could ask for from a campground. Sites were large and nicely wooded, and having electricity and water was a nice bonus. If we are back in the area sometime, I would love to stay longer than 3 nights and get to experience more of the campground amenities.

I know the individual ratings are contrary to my overall rating but we discovered, upon checkin, that the bathrooms by our cabin was a pit toilet. Not a bad thing in itself, but our site, the playground, and our cabin smelled like sewage. Didn’t realize the first night as it was late and code but in the morning it was warmer and we ended up leaving mid morning because it was so strong. The other two playgrounds on the site had the same situation smelling like sewage. The inflatable slide excited our kids as well so we told them they could use it before we left but they discovered that a dog had used it as a restroom overnight. Unfortunately it wasn’t wiped off before they inflated it in the morning. Staff was nice at checkin but it’s the only site we cut our trip short on.

Very very scenic with the abundance of trees, bathrooms were clean. A lot of nice touches with the store, lounge, arcade, pool, and mini golf course.
