Funky Fish Ocean Camp

I want to share our experience and more importantly my 11 year old granddaughter's experience at Funky Fish Ocean Camp the week of 6/24-6/28/24. Now, I write about an 11year old, but she often acts much older; however, she is still shy in a lot of ways. What a lot of people meeting her don't know is Lina has dyslexia, which I don't always share. She was very apprehensive on her first day --probably feeling the vibe from her over worried Nana. She only wanted to attend Summer camp at the camp she has always known. I wanted for her to try something different and be around a more diverse group of people and open her up to new experiences. It was wonderful experience for her, and I think it was also for her fellow ocean campers!! However, she didn't make things easy for the counselors on her first day, but thrived the rest of the week. What an amazing staff! What an experience for all of the family getting to watch her snorkeling and boogie boarding and making friends from all over the world!! I urge everyone even us over worried Nana's and parents to give this camp a try when you're in town or live locally and just want your child to experience an amazing day. You will not regret it!

If you’re worried about trusting them with your kids … don’t worry they are 100 percent trustworthy! My kids went the first day and asked to go back the next day! Thank you guys !

We enrolled our 5yo for a total of 3 weeks this summer and he had the time of his life. He enjoys being in the ocean and learning to snorkel and some tricks on the buggy board while also enjoying some arts and crafts, spending time with new friends and connecting with others was a highlight of the summer. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the whole Funky Fish team for giving him an unforgettable experience.

Our 12 and 10 year old had the best time at Funky Fish! They went for a week long of Summer camp and enjoyed sharing stories and what they learned about the ocean. I recommend Funky Fish to anyone traveling to Fort Lauderdale and any locals looking for an amazing experience for their kids.

My son has a genetic syndrome and after speaking with Sarah, the director, she was so open and caring to accepting him with open arms to this camp. The counselors were so positive and responsible. He is obsessed with water and the beach and he absolutely thrived at this camp. We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity and hope to do it again throughout the year. Thank you Funky Fish!
