The park itself could almost be an all day event. It's got space with picnic tables and a grill, especially at the pavilion just off the side of the playground. There is an abundance of slides, climbing, and all manner of child natural entertainment. There is even a slate to help learn the alphabet in ASL on one side and braille on the other. The surrounding nature area and the water are great to experience and observe while the kids play. My family is not from the area, but we have found the park we will be going to when we come down to visit family.
Lovely park, huge, beautiful boardwalks and trails. Will definitely go back again for another picnic.
This is a lovely spot with a picturesque lake, charming statues, and pet-friendly amenities. Visitors can enjoy kayaking and fishing, and there are also convenient restroom facilities and ample parking, including spaces for those with disabilities. It's a perfect place to take a stroll or indulge in some water activities.
The Gallup Riverview room was a terrific spot for a 30-guest party on a snowy Sunday afternoon. The grounds staff were right on time to clear the snow and ice. The staff, Joe and Dana, were very helpful and responsive with planning. Overall a positive experience.
My favorite park. Wonderful art display right now. Bridge is still out on west side of Huron Parkway so can't do the loop which pretty much sucks but still a beautiful place to walk and relax. The kids' playground is great and there are lots of little animal figures my grandson loved to climb on. There are a couple of restrooms. One by the canoe place, the other farther in.
