Gateway Glamping Introduce
For Coloradans who yearn for the majesty of the Rockies and the vastness of the high desert but aren't quite ready to "rough it," Gateway Glamping offers a truly exceptional alternative. Situated in the captivating landscape of Gateway, Colorado, this isn't your typical campground. It's an elevated outdoor experience, blending the immersive beauty of nature with the comforts and luxuries typically found in a boutique hotel. It's a place where the fresh Colorado air and star-filled skies meet plush bedding and impeccably clean facilities, creating an unforgettable retreat.
Gateway Glamping has quickly garnered a reputation for its extraordinary hospitality and attention to detail. As glowing reviews attest, "If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! We are so grateful to have spent a weekend with our two dogs in this true slice of heaven. The hosts are incredible humans, and their passion for what they do is evident in every detail. They immediately made us and the dogs feel right at home..." and "The tent, bedding, bathrooms, etc were SO luxurious (nicer than some hotels we’ve stayed in), and everything was super well stocked and maintained daily." This dedication to guest experience is what sets Gateway Glamping apart, making it a highly sought-after destination for those looking to unwind in style amidst Colorado's breathtaking scenery.
Gateway Glamping is perfectly positioned at 42711 CO-141, Gateway, CO 81522, USA. This unique location places it in the heart of Unaweep Canyon, a geologically significant area known for its stunning red rock formations, deep canyons, and access to vast public lands. Gateway itself, though small, is a gem in Western Colorado, offering a tranquil escape while still providing essential amenities. The property is conveniently located just a "hop and a skip away from the river," as one guest noted, and offers easy access to the surrounding natural wonders.
Reaching Gateway Glamping is a scenic journey. It's approximately an hour's drive southwest of Grand Junction, a larger city with regional airport access (Grand Junction Regional Airport - GJT) and a wider range of services. The drive along CO-141, part of the Unaweep/Tabeguache Scenic Byway, is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, making the journey itself part of the adventure. While Gateway is a small town, it provides basic services, including a general store, ensuring that guests can pick up any last-minute essentials. The property's location makes it an ideal base for exploring not only Western Colorado but also venturing into the stunning landscapes of eastern Utah, including areas near Moab, which are roughly an hour's drive away.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! We are so grateful to have spent a weekend with our two dogs in this true slice of heaven. The hosts are incredible humans, and their passion for what they do is evident in every detail. They immediately made us and the dogs feel right at home, were so generous to offer us anything we needed, educated us on the local spots, and were lovely to chat with, all while still allowing their guests plenty of peace and privacy to unwind. The tent, bedding, bathrooms, etc were SO luxurious (nicer than some hotels we’ve stayed in), and everything was super well stocked and maintained daily. We really enjoyed the views and space of the Escalante site. The grounds are in a GREAT location just a hop and a skip away from the river and beautiful public land to explore! Gateway holds all the best qualities of a small town but still manages to blow your mind with its magic. Highly recommend this spot and the people who run it! Thanks Jessica and Jake! 🥰⛰️🌵☀️
We stopped here on our honeymoon and had an incredible experience! We showed up outside of the recommended check-in time but the hosts were incredibly understanding and accommodating. We bought stuff for s'mores at the cute little camp store and cooked them by our tent. The views of the stars are incredible here, we spent a good amount of time stargazing late at night. There was only one other couple there when we were so the campground was super quiet and peaceful. The bed was super comfortable and the tent was really cozy! Everything in the campsite is incredibly clean and you won't find better hospitality anywhere else. We drove south down the highway leading up the campground just after the sun set and we saw a lot of deer in the road, as well as a cat, so I would recommend arriving earlier in the day. We will be coming back!
An Absolute Gem! Gateway Glamping is a hidden treasure! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, scenic, and truly magical. The tents are not only beautiful but also thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The campground feels like a little slice of heaven. What truly made our stay unforgettable were Jacob and Jessica, the best camp hosts we’ve ever had! They’re incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. You can tell they’ve poured their hearts into creating a special experience for their guests. We felt so welcomed and cared for it was the perfect escape. We can’t wait to come back
From the moment we arrived, this glamping stay exceeded all expectations. We were warmly greeted with music playing, which instantly set a welcoming and relaxing tone. Jessica and Jacob were incredibly friendly and offered helpful tips that we greatly appreciated. Every detail was thoughtfully curated — from the spotless accommodations to the beautifully manicured grounds. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of love into this campsite. Super accommodating, peaceful, and just an all-around pleasant experience. Highly recommend!
Great experience all around! Jacob and Jessica were fantastic hosts, very attentive when they saw anything we might need. The yurts were well done and a great way to end our rafting trip. Lots of little touches that made the whole experience that much better. Highly recommend going out of your way to stop here!
