Gateway RV Park

AMAZING environment for a park where half the spots are occupied by folks who live there. We’ve been full-time in the 40-foot Newmar class A for five years and I’ve never seen a gravel and grass park as well kept as this one. Park was quiet, neighbors friendly but not nosy, dogs all on a leash and super nice feel to the park without seeming stuck up or aloof. All RVs were well maintained and pride of ownership is evident. Will revisit.

Wonderful spot for us! We need a place near stores, clean and with showers. The host (Tami?) was so lovely and welcoming. Gave us a nice spot accross from bathroom. Level gravel spots. Well lit. Seemed safe. Host is available for your needs. The bathrooms/showers were spotless. It’s not fancy but that’s not what we needed. We only used electric so not sure about other hookups. Conveniently located off of 5 on 20. Highly recommend!

Had to stay a night here because our rig needed a sudden repair near by. The host was super friendly and even let us stay with our skoolie (skoolies often get turned down at rv parks). The park was clean and the bathrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Quiet at night too. All of the long term residents were friendly and complimented us on our skoolie journey. We typically boondock and do more primitive camping, but this was nice as a last minute solution for us.

Even just trying to get ahold of this place was a joke. When I finally received a call back, she was honestly kinda rude. The only answer she would give me was “We don’t have room for you”. And when asked when they might have room, she wouldn’t give me an answer other than “Nope, don’t have room for you”. It was almost as if she didn’t want us staying there. I was also quoted $600-$625 a month PER person. So for my wife and I, it would be $1200+ a month. Electricity being separate. That’s insane. She also did not sound happy that we had a dog, stating they have had problems with “aggressive” dogs. This place does not sound kid friendly, or dog friendly. I didn’t even get a chance to stay here and I wouldn’t recommend.

I was told one day by a host my dogs were fine, they are medium dogs. So we filled out the background check the next day we payed for the background check and got a call saying the dogs are not allowed. When I asked for the reason the host said big dogs are to loud. So I got my background money refunded and I asked if I could have the owners number so I could call and ask what the rules and regulations are for dogs they would not give me it. While I was there I saw a dog bigger then mine and a chihuahua that barked at me. If I would of gotten a real reason why instead of a made up reason, then I wouldn't be so mad. But sounds to me they do not like new people to stay here.
