First time here and absolutely loved it - stayed in July and it was still a bit chilly around 50s-60s with slight wind but not as windy as I expected! It actually even rained in the night but it was a pretty light drizzle. Mostly cloudy and foggy when we went but it was a vibe. Bathrooms were surprisingly VERY clean (for a campground) and didn’t encounter that many bugs! You can buy firewood at wood side for $10 a bundle! We initially booked 25 but moved to 24 and recommend folks to avoid 25 as it barely has any space at all(attaching image). Short hike to the ocean as well.
I've stayed here twice now, very lovely campground. I'm giving it four stars because it's extremely windy at times, and though the hike down to the ocean and exploring around that area is awesome, there aren't extensive trails that I am aware of. Still, very nice, I'm kind of on the fence between four and five stars. I'm not going to mention the best site, because it's already almost always booked. Very clean restrooms.
Spent three great days hiking and relaxing. The ocean was beautiful and the stars at night were amazing. Well maintained campsites clean facilities and extremely mellow atmosphere. No loud music or crazy partying
Loved this campground. It is not on the beach, which is what I thought when reviewing pictures online. There is a 0.3 hike to the beach which is downhill, so coming back is a hike. Beautiful campsites and some privacy in the trees.
Campsites roughly 8-23 are the best. Booked 25 which is the worst one there but thankfully it was empty on a Thursday and we moved over to 18. Which was perfect! Definitely worth driving down to the day use areas for sunrise and sunset plenty of picnic tables to make meals at with a view! Saw plenty of deer as well!
Absolutely beautiful campsite. It's near the ocean, you can hear the waves from the your site and the stars are insane at night. The only real downside is theres a road right next to the campground and you can hear traffic very clearly. It's a bit of a nuisance but this place is worth it imo. Flush toilets with sinks inside the bathroom. We washed our hair in the sink since there's no showers. There's outlets in the bathrooms in case of emergency. We were told the water from the spickets is drinkable so we filled up our water bottles with it once we ran out. Had no issue. Bring tons of bug spray. My family got eaten alive by mosquitos lol Use the raccoon boxes they provide at the sites, there's tons of wildlife here that WILL ravage your stuff when you're not there. (We got our snack bag ransacked by birds and raccoons 😭)
