New years party is awesome. Hot food, very sweet ppl serve you. Karaoke with Greg and afterwards dj with randy. Saloon has pool tables and couches lots of seating. Very rustic. But all the environment is very pleasant.
Stayed in one of the cabins for a few nights. The particular cabin we stayed in was one of the oldest ones on the property but it was fine. I wasn’t expecting a high end luxury experience anyway. The cabin had a couple of bunks in the hallway across from the bathroom and there was a master bedroom, kitchen and living room with a futon. There were only 4 of us which was perfect. Any more than that in this particular cabin would have been pretty crowded. Drummer Steve and Jennifer at the front gate were great! We arrived late in the evening and Steve came up to the gate right away to check us in and give us our keys. Both of them were very helpful during our stay. The breakfast at the Saloon was excellent. We had a great time playing pool and ski ball one of the nights that we were there. We went during the week which didn’t allow us to join in any of their activities. Almost all of their activities are set up for weekend only. Would be nice to have a mid-week activity for people to interact. The best part about this place is its general location in the Sierras. About 45 minutes to Bassi Falls which is a moderate hike and amazing when it’s flowing, 15 minutes to Sly Park which was an absolute blast! If you go to Sly Park, drive ALL the way to the back of the park and take a super easy 1 mile hike to the falls. Great payoff for an easy beautiful hike. One hour or so from South Lake Tahoe which we visited during our stay. South Lake Tahoe has a plethora of things to do that fit almost anyone’s desire. There are also so many other places nearby that we didn’t have time to see. Was a GREAT time with the family! We will definitely make this a yearly or a couple times a year destination!
First time here and it was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. All staff is helpful. We encountered an issue with our truck upon arrival and they went beyond to try and help. The campground is clean, restrooms are clean and stocked, delicious ice cream at Mrs kitties. Food at the saloon is also tasty and very generously priced considering we are far from nearest towns. We hope to be back very soon.
We had the best time at Ghost Mountain Ranch Resort! What a hidden gem, clean and quiet in the middle of nature. Something for everyone in the family, the kids can enjoy the pool and activities, plus there are horses nearby. The staff and team were amazing, special shout out to Terralynn.
RV Park an hour from So Lake Tahoe. No sewer hookup. Beautiful forest surroundings but not impressed with the facilities. Bathrooms and showers were good. Kids riding dirt bikes thru camp, not good.....Western Town fronts are cool
