I've camped here and enjoyed the pools many times throughout the years. The gal who owns the place has always been quite pleasant...but that man she has watching over the property who lives in the bus is quite rude. Recently I came in to soak for 2 hours without staying at the campground and after paying the $8 required I was accosted by this man for not filling out the payment envelope properly. He also seems to have issues with people from Colorado. I was polite enough, but apparently he got so upset went into his bus and armed himself with a knife that he had displayed on his belt. I'm no threat to anyone at all and this man overreacted. I just wanted to soak...nice and peaceful. I will never visit this place again as long as he's there. The owner should have a talk with him about treating guest with more respect and to stop badmouthing people from other states...I am not the only one...I overheard him chewing out another older couple from Colorado that showed up. Rude and condescending. What a shame.

This amazing gem is a ways out of the way, and exactly where you want it. We stayed here on the way to visit the Gila Ruins cave dwellings. Reservations are a MUST!! We were warmly greeted by Auggie, a man of Native American descent, and with a gentle and wise nature about him, and a great sense of humor. The three pools were immaculately clean, the perfect temp, and not over crowded, due to the very low population of people, because there are only 12 spots! This was one of the best camping spots I’ve ever stayed in. The amenities, the price, the environment, and the people. Worth the drive. Next time, I’d stay longer! So much hiking and exploring to do in that area.

A wonderful campgound with a welcoming host! As soon as we arrived, Auggie, the host, came out to greet us warmly. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, we were lucky to have a campsite on Christmas night. The hot springs are amazing. It's clean and with the perfect temperature. Auggie checking the water temperature and clearing out fallen leaves to make sure everything was just right. The views are beautiful and all facilities are well-maintained.

Everything about this place was fantastic. Easy to book via email. There is no cell service for the drive up or at the location until logged into their wifi, but the host Augy was there to meet me right as I pulled in, and gave me the intro. As a woman traveling solo, I felt very safe, and like the property was being monitored diligently, without feeling imposed upon as a guest. The mid there was maturity, relaxation, and the right balance of friendly and privacy. Everything is well maintained, simple, clean, and feels done with respect to the natural environment. I had a lovely time and it was well worth the long, winding drive. Making tea with fresh, naturally hot, mountain water was pretty special, too!

They have changed since the pandemic and not for the better. Used to cost $6 for a full day, now, $8 per person for 2 hours which is ridiculous after the cost just getting there. The springs used to have sand/gravel as a bottom and now, cement under pea gravel which is painful to walk on. Their changing room us up steps and impossible for seniors. I have been there previously and love it but will not return.
