A well deserved weekend getaway. Quiet community. Clean bungalow. Very comfortable bed 🛏️❤️. The only "complaint" is the small shower, but I am a big guy. LOL
There are 4 rental spaces but not really a campground. 99% of the sites are perm with built in decks. 3 sites near the road and one waterfront. 1-3 near road are close together. Friendly host, friendly perm neighbors. Private lake access, and a club house with pool table, pickleball, and corn hole boards.
We stayed in one of their glamping sites and the camper had plenty of space, bunk room and living space had room to move around in and the front porch was nice. The AC does need to be replaced and we were told that in advance we just needed to make sure the door stayed shut but it was hot. (Not to have a lot of in and out). We ended up bringing two fans and spending money on two more. The grounds are very nice. Water area nice. Inside pavilion was too hot inside to enjoy during the day and closed early, but looked like a nice place. Pool area looked nice didn’t get a chance to use it. Over all nice quiet campground and our only complaints would be the AC. Kids enjoyed exploring white lake area and swimming at night. We would definitely stay again. 💞
I recently stayed at Gilligans Island Resort/Campground, and had an amazing experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth. Our deluxe overnight spot had the best views, easy access to the pool/lake, and even an ice cream shop across the road! The campground is beautifully maintained with spacious sites and plenty of activities near by. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, and relaxing by the pool with the kids. Overall, Gilligans Island exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return and make more great memories!
So we moved from koa Lumberton, NC to whitelake, NC due to a hurricane back in AUGUST. Gillian’s Island RV Resort. We were here for 3-4 months. Very interesting place to stay. They only have. Rv sites for campers but they have permanent sites that are for sale to put a camper on all year round. But you have to level the campground for at least 2 weeks a year. It can not be a permanent home. There are some that are grandfathered in from previous owner. The is 3 sites up front close to road. Be careful due to 1 being able to do what they want across from the 3 sites. They have 4 dogs that they do not pick up poop. Then there is 1 site by the lake , a very beautiful site but if you want to sleep that might be an issue as curfew is midnight. So it gets loud in this spot. This campground is a party campground during summertime. Some people are very nice here. They do have there clicks. We were invited to Halloween party and an oyster roast during our stay..
