We spent a few days recently at the site right on the water (4) it was beyond peaceful and amazing. It was extremely clean and our amazing host Sean took such good care of the campground area and restrooms. The lake is perfect for paddling your kayak or paddle board....the mornings were quiet with glass water and the afternoons more windy. A wonderful place to spend camping with your family, our kids didn't want to leave.

Absolutely love this place! Awesome camping spots right on the water, plenty of things to explore a small boat launch, running water, some fairly secluded camp spots and it's not too far from the hidden lake trailhead which 8s a short mile hike. The only real downdraw would be the relentless mosquitoes and the bathrooms being pretty nasty and smelling like concentrated ammonia due to having absolutely no ventilation and not being pumped out more often.

It was a great place for camping you enjoy best of both worlds a lake with stream run offs as well. A nice trail is right next to the campground for a 1/2 mile hike. If you have doubts in going don't the view is breath taking through out the day.

The campground is beautiful! Every site is on the lake and has a view of the mountains across the lake! Each site is generously sized and has a good fire pit and table. Couple down sides: that bathroom's aren't ventilated well so they are a little smelly, and the water probably has too much iron in it so it tastes kind of metallic. But if you pack in your own water or purify water from the lake you should be good. Overall I love this campsite.

The water here is great for paddle boarding all day! The wind only slightly picks up in the later evening. Definitely take the reviews of the mosquitos seriously, we showed up with some nice plant-based repellent and we were getting bit through our clothes. We ended up going into Leavenworth for the day to avoid the mosquitos and get some heavy duty backwoods sweat proof repellent, which definitely worked a lot better than what we had originally. They seemed to have no hesitation with the basic repellent, citronella candles and repellent wrist bands. We saw our neighbors using some electric paddle type thing which may be a worthwhile investment for your trip. Afterwards I learned that they are attracted to dark colors, so it's best to wear light loose fitting clothing to avoid being bit through your clothes. Be careful of the potholes when you first are coming off the main road and onto the dirt road, it will catch you by surprise! We were out here during the extreme heat warning and there was enough tree coverage and water access to the lake to keep us and our dog a comfortable temp. Also, max people per site is 6, we were unaware and assumed it'd be 8-12 people. We didn't get cell service out there and firewood/ice is about 25-30 minutes away in Plain, WA
