Customer Reviews
The campground is really nice, lots of options. Right now in mid March, it’s pretty empty, but I can imagine the spots filling up durian high climbing season. They have a porta potty and a room with a shower and faucet. The climbing shop is on the property as well. Only thing is, it can get horribly windy here, as it is right now and it makes being outside a bad experience.. so come here when there’s no wind!
Visited in the off season so I can't speak to a lot of the amenities but what we could access was good. Very reasonably priced at $5 per person per night with flat, clean sites and almost no one else there. Fire pit was great, kept the winds out well enough and had some old pallets to burn. Only downside was dogs barking at night, but we couldn't tell if they were wild dogs or kept at one of the few RVs in the lot. Proximity to Hueco Tanks was great, only a few minutes drive each morning
Quiet desert camping in close proximity to the world class bouldering of Hueco Tanks. Friendly family ownership makes you feel welcome and warm. Coyotes will often serenade under a star laden sky at night just prior to experiencing a deep and blissful desert solitaire slumber!
Of all the hueco tanks camping options this is one of the best! Shower is super nice and the fire pit is a nice addition to hang out. Being able to come and go at anytime is also great. Just a friendly heads up if you are tent camping versus staying in a yurt or RV. Keep an eye on the wind conditions! This is a very sandy area and there is a pretty thick haze of dust in windy conditions.
Quiet climbers campground near Hueco Tanks. Family and dog friendly. Tent and RV sites available as well as really nice yurts and campers.
