The Lake George Islands campsites, divided into three groups, Glen Island, Long Island, and Narrow Island, are located on Lake George, America's "Queen" Lake. Camping here is unique; Lake George Islands campsites are accessible by boat only and are spread out over much of the lake. Each of the three camping islands has its own headquarters, to make site registration as convenient as possible. There are campsites in the Glen Island Group accessible by boat only. Most sites are well-forested and private. All sites have a dock for at least one boat, a fireplace, a picnic table, and a toilet facility. Picnic areas have charcoal grills, fireplaces, and tables, and picnic shelters that hold up to 15 people each. Reservations can be made for today and can be made up to 9 Months in advance.

Make sure you reserve your camping location here at early morning as you can’t just go to islands to stay even for a day picnic. Locations are limited around 100 for all islands

I have been island camping in the Glen Island group for about 13 years.The rangers are always friendly and have a good sense of humor. They have told me what sholes to watch for and what island are closed.
