Well maintained, inexpensive, spacious, and dog-friendly campground good for sportsmen and for families. There's a well-lit, clean restroom/shower house. No playground, but we saw lots of kids riding bikes, playing games, etc. There are boat ramps nearby and forest for miles for game, fowl, and mushroom hunters. And it's about 20 minutes from restaurants, shopping, etc. It's a nice quiet place to get away for a few days.

We've really enjoyed our stay, so far. I do wish the sites had water spigots available, but there's not. Also, the sites aren't very big and are pretty close together. There is a very nice persimmon tree next door that has the sweetest, most flavorful and delicious persimmons I have ever had the pleasure of eating! Sunrise and sunset, here, are both a beauty to behold. The lake is well stocked, tho I've not fished it on this visit. And my final thought is this; Nighttime is a cacophony of crickets, the occasional hoot of an owl or two. Coyotes, skunks, bobcats, squirrels galore, groundhogs, and who knows what else. Personally, the owls are my favorite.
