Stayed at this campground in a temporary spot, which was a bit inconvenient due to weather, but overall, I felt safe and it was pretty quiet. The owner Phillip and staff were friendly and very helpful, though the owner had a moody moment or two. Being near the Concord Speedway means it can get loud during events, but the area is otherwise convenient and peaceful. Overall, a solid place to stay!
I have stayed at Glenwood Acres twice now for work. I have always felt safe in the RV park. You will see Phillip the owner driving through all hours of the day and night checking on the Park. After some heavy rains my camper started to leak, Phillip climbed up on my roof and fixed the issue. As long as you follow the posted rules, (don't throw trash on the ground, pick up after your dogs, pay your rent, respectful of others...ect.) you will enjoy your stay. Neighbors have all been friendly and helpful. If I am ever back in the area will definitely stay again!
My wife is a travel nurse and she stayed at Glennwood Acres RV Park. It’s a very safe place and very convenient for shopping and dining. The owner, Phillip, is very knowledgeable and helpful, and he truly cares about his tenants. He helped us out several times, and he even parked our RV for us! The folks who work in the office are so nice!
Keep driving. There are much nicer places in this area to stay. I stayed for two months a couple years ago, and it seemed endless. I was happier staying at the mobile home lot next to the liquor store in Charlotte. I actually felt safer there, too. Do not recommend.
Glenwood Acres RV Park is a wonderful stay. Mr. Phillip helped me to get parked and hooked up as I am new to the medical traveling world. He’s given me many lessons that I will use in the future. The neighbors are friendly and it’s a quiet community. Just remember that you are near many raceways and the noise can get loud in the evening but it’s done by at least 10pm on the weekends of races. My dog and little cat approve of the area and I feel safe here. That is the most important thing to me.
