Glynraven Gardens

This was the BEST weekend of my year. Hands down. Glynraven has amazing accommodations and gorgeous views.

We hosted the first (!) wedding at Glynraven Gardens. It’s a magical property in the hills of Hopland with wild peacocks, an amazing infinity pool and hot tub, and epic views. It’s got burning man-meets-Mendocino vibes, in the best possible way. We stayed there before for weekend trips and fell in love with the venue, and we were so excited to watch our guests also become enchanted with this special place. There are various accommodations (Airstream, shipping containers-turned-unique lodging, yurts, campsites) where our friends were able to stay. Plus everyone (adults and kids) LOVED the pool and hot tub. The owner Antler is a total sweetheart, and he worked closely together with all our vendors to make sure the weekend went off without a hitch.

Enjoy the panoramic views of the sprawling Mendocino hills, an enchanting pool overlooking the sunset, and a huge property to explore on foot. Say hello to to the dozens of chickens and peacocks! The first time I stayed I brought a tent to camp on site, but I highly recommend taking advantage of the incredible lodgings this place has to offer. I recently stayed at the Hillside Manor, which is essentially a sumptuous hobbit hole under the hill furnished with beautiful and eccentric antiques. Before I left I had the chance to check out the Hemp House, as well, which is a step up in luxury and a must see - whether you book your stay there or not. Antler is an incredibly kind and gracious host who cares about his guests. He's very openhanded with the fruits of his harvests, enjoy!

Staying at Antler’s place was an unforgettable experience — a true escape just a couple of hours from the city, nestled deep in the wilderness. The property is a living, breathing gallery of Antler’s eclectic brutalist art-decor style, curated with passion and precision over the past two decades. Every corner holds a story, a piece of his journey, and it was a privilege to be immersed in it. What made the stay even more magical was the life teeming all around — majestic peacocks roaming freely, chickens clucking about, curious cats weaving in and out of sight, and Kush, his Tibetan Mastiff, the gentlest teddy bear you’ll ever meet. But what truly made the experience extraordinary was Antler himself. He didn’t just offer me his beautiful home — he offered his time, his experience, and his warmth. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel like family, sharing his meals, his stories, and his one-of-a-kind hospitality. Our conversations spanned everything from art to life, and I came away not just rested, but deeply inspired. Antler’s world is vast, soulful, and deeply personal. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, you’re in for much more than a getaway — you’re in for a rare and treasured experience.

The welcoming feel of Glynraven, situated atop a peaceful 200 acre ridgetop and surrounding valley, will draw you back again and again to explore the garden oasis Antler (the owner) has created here. You will find a very friendly vibe by the stunning infinity pool & community outdoor kitchen (where Antler hosts daily pot tastings). Or take a few steps away and there are quiet spots everywhere for solitude and meditation. Many years of thought have created this very magical landscape. if you are cold just step into the sun or if you need a break from the sun just take a few steps for some shade. Its the perfect place to enjoy outdoor California.

As always, Antler was such a welcoming host--he was extremely responsive and helpful the entire trip, from early morning to late at night. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the animals are all extremely friendly. We stayed at the 8-bedroom site and loved how private it was--it feels like living at your own house, except you have access to great communal resources like the pool, hot tub, grills, peacocks, etc. a 5-minute walk away. And the sunset was beautiful! Will definitely be going back.

Camping at Glynraven Gardens is an experience I find hard to put into words. There's a serenity here that people search the world for - and yet it's right in our own backyard. Close enough to the city for convenience, but far enough to feel like a true escape, Glynraven Gardens is a peaceful oasis. The amenities here go above and beyond -- clean restrooms, hot showers, picnic tables, bbq grills, and RV hookups make every stay comfortable. There's even Wi-Fi if you want to stay connected. And when you're ready to explore beyond the gardens, it's an easy drive to downtown Ukiah or Clearlake, where you can stroll through their vibrant farmers markets and enjoy the local charm. Whenever I need a break from the daily hustle, Glynraven is the first place that comes to mind. The scenic hillside views, the quiet charm of the working farm, and the animals that calls this place home roaming freely all come together to create a breathtaking and unforgettable experience. Camping here is truly something special.
