Great beautiful location to see and feel the California coast line. Nice place the hang out, nice sandy beach below the outlet of the Russian River. Donβt recommend going in the water here. Undertows and rough currents. The beauty of the area is peaceful and quaint. The river area there is kayaking and paddle boarding.
This beach is an absolutely stunning one. The waves were strong. But the beach good for a walk and just listen to waves. Not very kid friendly if the kids like to play with water, but a lot of kids were having fun making big castles. Just loved it.
LOVE that they have a dog side and a dog-free side for beach access. Drive all the way down until the road ends. There are compost restrooms without hand washing stations. Lots of parking. Kid and dog friendly! Gorgeous long beach walk with dogs on and off leash. All well-mannered and great people who know leash manners! Fave beach on the coast, plus it's free
