Ron and Kim are very personable host and the property is very dog friendly. The resort is about 1/2 mile down a gravel road. The location is PERFECT. It was very quiet and peaceful. While being close to restaurants, gas station, groceries. You can't rent boats from this property. There are rental options near by and if you have a boat, there is a ramp to put it in the water and dock space. Every cabin has a screened in porch facing the lake. Loved the view, the screened porch was a big hit with us and the dog. It also included a small clothes line and pins, so you could hang you swim suit and towels up to dry. The cabin was very small, with simple furniture. Think of it like a glamping experience without the firepit. BBQ grills are provided. If you have small children be aware, everything is on a hillside when you're this close to the lake, it's rocky with very little grass. This resort is a nice laid-back property with easy-going owners that want you to enjoy your stay. Have fun and be safe!

If you are looking for a perfect, low-key weekend getaway this is the place to go! Kim and Rob were fantastic hosts, and the cabins are perfect for a simple, easy trip. The cabins have full kitchens with dishes and necessities already stocked, and the screened in porches are exactly what we were looking for on our relaxing weekend. We spent most of our time on the porch, and the rest of the time on the dock swimming or just admiring the lake. The place is also super dog friendly, which our pup was happy about. We will absolutely be going back to Gobbler's Mountain, but hopefully for a longer stay next time!

Beautiful spot on the lake, cabins are very nice, safe, clean and well stocked with all the kitchen necessities. Beds are comfortable and ours had new bedding. Dock is well lit and easily accessible. 2 swings to relax on and enjoy the view. Cabin 6 has an amazing view of the lake. There are trees in front of cabin 5 blocking the sun so we were able to have the windows open all day with no AC and the temperature was still very nice in the cabin, with the bedroom window ooen you can listen to the water fall in the pond. Owners are wonderful, very helpful with all our needs (even the craving for powder donuts) and very respectful. We stayed over the 4th of July weekend with a friend and his two boys 11 and 6 and were able to catch tons of firework shows by the resort and on the lake, also we were able to shoot off fireworks there with the kids too. Lake is alot more calm during the week but still very manageable with our 19' ski boat on the busy 4th of july weekend with plenty of coves close by to relax in and swim. Bang for your buck, you can't beat it in my opinion, very reasonable rates and everything you need to let go and enjoy your vacation.

One employee wasn't very pleasant at times. One was very nice. The location was ok, but zero room for big family get togethers. Zero room for kids to run around and play. No room for activities like a firepit or big family meals and games. The resort needs to advertise better that this place is not the best for big family get togethers. Our family couldn't even eat a meal all together. We normally hang out and play games, but couldn't do that here. The drive down to the resort was very rough and it was very hard to find. The cabins were nice, so a good place for small families as long as they aren't spending a lot of time at the resort.

Quiet, clean, peaceful. Family owned by really kind, friendly people. Our family comes year after year. Sunrise coffee on the dock followed by a warm, early morning swim are the best. We often see turtles pop up to say hi.
