Great location and campground set-up. Ben, the manager at the campground is great. Easy to work with and great for short term or long term camping!! Would recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend campground or whole summer camping!! Lots to do: put-put golf, swimming pools, horseshoes, shuffle board, laundry and shower houses on site as well.
Vacation land is my home away from home. I don't get to go as much as I want to. But when I can it is a place that I can escape from real life issues. When you are there on a weekend after a long week of work you relax and stop thinking of your real life. People are so nice in camp life. The manager Ben makes sure everyone is happy. Sunday's when it's time to check out is a sad time. Then it's time to go back to reality. If anyone is wanting to have a get away with lots of activities this is the place to go. I will continue to camp there as long as I can!
Thanks to Ben Walker and his team we had a great camping season. There were a lot of fun activities for adults and children. Ben was easy to communicate with and his staff was alway available if there was an issue. We have had a permanent site for 25 years. This year has been by far one of the best. Cant wait till spring to do it all over again.
We have been camping at Vacationland for several years but just recently committed with a permanent spot. The new management has been wonderful. They are bringing back fun activities for kids and families such as tie-dye, flag football, water wars, camper crawls, live music and so much more. They also offer amenities like 2 pools, a game room for kids, putt-putt golf, several playgrounds, golf carts, basketball courts and shuffleboard. Something for everyone!
This was a very unsatisfactory place to tent camp. Restroom smells of sewer gas and has no ventilation. Toilets rarely flush, rather they swirl and don’t go down so there is always debris waiting for you when you enter. The truck noise from the interstate is non stop. If the wind is from the east the entire camp smells of sewer/trash dump. The site was promised to be shady but is full sun from noon until sunset. Basically, it is a 500 unit trailer park with some overnight spots for interstate travelers with self contained rigs. Do not tent camp here. Further, the office and store are open very limited hours, not at all Monday and Tuesday.
Very loud at night. Lots of families but also lots of drinking. Driving through is a nightmare with the hoards of people, golf carts and one way roads. Pool looked okay but was closed due to weather. Mini golf was run down. Snack shack was very reasonably priced however. Spots are okay sized. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful camp, this is not it.
