My husband and I travel for work and are always looking for the next place to call “home”. We were fortunate to find this gem! The location was great and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. We were lucky enough to camp with a beautiful view of the farm behind us. Our two dogs loved the dog park and I always felt safe walking with my baby. Amber Ray has always been so friendly and accommodating to us! She has made our time here very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this campground to anyone who is just passing through or staying for a while.

We recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Goethe Trailhead Ranch RV Campground, and we must say, it was far from what we expected. First and foremost, the bathrooms were downright filthy and frequently out of toilet paper. It was clear that they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time, with dirt and grime accumulating in every corner. It is frustrating to think that such a basic necessity could be so neglected, especially for a campground that aims to attract visitors. Additionally, the overgrown vegetation was another major issue. The lack of lawn maintenance during the entire month we were there made the campground feel unkempt and uninviting. This neglect also contributed to an explosion of bugs—we were absolutely swarmed! We realize this is Florida and the bugs can be very bad this time of year. That is why it is very important to keep the facility well-maintained and clean to help combat this problem. The infestation made it hard to enjoy any outdoor activities. Being there in August, we were particularly looking forward to enjoying the pool. Unfortunately, while it was open when we arrived, it was locked the very next day due to "maintenance issues" that were never resolved throughout our entire stay. This was incredibly disappointing, especially in the heat of summer when a pool could have made all the difference. Another one of the amenities to this facility was a recreation lounge with a pool table. Unfortunately there was no air-conditioning which made it completely unusable unless you wanted to use it as a sauna. To top it all off, the manager, Amber, left much to be desired in terms of customer service. She was incredibly rude and dismissive when we brought up our concerns about the state of the facilities. Initially, we approached our concerns in a friendly and constructive manner, hoping to address the issues and improve our stay. However, as the month went on, her attitude worsened. She started treating us as if we were acting like first-class citizens who always got their way, when in reality, we are just normal horse people who understand what it takes to run a facility like this. It was disheartening to realize that, despite our genuine concerns, Amber seemed more interested in dismissing us than addressing the problems at hand. As time went on, the worse her attitude became, which was incredibly frustrating. Overall, I would not recommend Goethe Trailhead Ranch RV Campground to anyone looking for a clean and welcoming environment. It's a shame to see a place with such potential being run into the ground. Don’t be fooled by their inviting website and advertising like we were. There are many other RV campgrounds that truly care about their visitors. Tommie and Sierra Turvey~

Goethe trailhead ranch campground. Out stay here was wonderful, we were here for almost 9 months. What a beautiful place to decompress and enjoy the country life, where the horses roam and the cows came home. Great sunrises and scenic views in nearly every direction. We loved that we weren’t packed in like sardines, the lots are spacious and the people are friendly. This is a safe and clean park. There are walking/biking/horse riding trails just across the street. It’s 20 minutes from Dunnellon, 30 minutes to Crystal River and 30 minutes to Ocala. We highly recommend staying here.

This park is very nice and clean. Amber Ray is very helpful and always easy to work with. The trails are well maintained and marked. The stalls are clean and spacious. They do have turn out paddocks as well. I recommend a tack stall as you have to park your trailer away from the horses. It's a great get away wether you bring your horse or not.
