Great free dispersed camp site with lots of pockets of trees to find a camp spot and also some big wide open areas as well. Right next to Mineral Creek. Wildlife like to stroll the opposite side of the creek late in the afternoon. Great views of the mountains. Far enough from the 550 not to have road noise. Restroom on site. Generally clean and stocked but it is only one and it's a big camp site so keep that in mind. Gets busy in season and on weekends.

Great place to camp, rest, and recharge for free. There is one bathroom on site and camping is dispersed. The view is fantastic as well.

Can’t complain about a no fee campground in a very heavy usage area. We were able to secure a good site for a tent at about 2p before it filled up. Cannot give 5 stars as this place and the other few no fee campgrounds on the road get bombarded with RVs. Tough to enjoy the beauty with generators going all night.

Awesome place to camp! Loved being here! It's nice that it's free and there's a toilet which is kept fairly clean.

Great and beautiful spot by Mineral Creek. Note- You are not supposed to park any vehicle past the line of boulders, even tho there’s a road that goes straight back there. An employee let us know and gave us a verbal warning to move. They are likely also going to make designated spots in this area, too, per the area FS supervisor. Please pick up after yourself and others and enjoy your stay! They do have a pit toilet here.
