Customer Reviews
The campground itself is lovely. We got the last space I believe. There were ‘bear in the area’ signs up but other campers had their space like a squatter site. Food left out, items strewn everywhere. I pointed it out to a member of staff but nothing happened. No one was at this site during our stay! So the food / open cooler was out at least 24 hrs Staff didn’t remove food left in plain site. Also folks smoking despite ban. There were at least 5 sites empty (within view of our site) whilst we were there despite the full sign at the entrance. Shame to be turning folks away when sites aren’t being used. Most folks are respectful and kept dogs on the leash/ under control however a few just let them run off and poop wherever. Again staff aware but not guiding people to correct behaviour. They have plenty of pit toilets with paper and sanitiser. Shower block was clean and sinks externally for your dishes. Drinking water taps were numerous too. Lady we met at gateway was lovely. It would be a great place to stay if inappropriate behaviour was held accountable. Lovely old growth. Walks by the river. Instead we didn’t want to stay as we had the ‘food campsite on one side’ and the ‘dog running wild, barking and popping on the other’. Staff should be empowered to help them deal with guests not abiding by the rules and detracting from the enjoyment of others. A great place let down by a few.
Nice campground where everything is spaced out but being by the one playground, you will get a lot of kids screaming. It is a very kid friendly spot with enough space to walk and have cars driving by. The restrooms are heated and there are showers as well. There is a quick trail that leads you to goldstream falls. Reasonably priced and although surrounded by forest...its not too private. Large campground spots though.
Good little campsite. Busy. The bathroom closest to our site had no exhaust so it was like walking into a steam house everytime. Park rangers were nice. Fun hidden swimming gems as well.
They state the campground if full but at least 4 sites around me were empty last night and I saw many campers turned away??? Many young guys walking around but washrooms are dirty and right now one is using a whipper snipper with nothing to cut and yet the pit toilets need a good flushing/cleaning. Many workers but limited work. Otherwise a pleasant site.
This place is great! Awesome spot for families, tons of kids to play with and some decent bike trails. There’s a huge playground, tons of things to do. The highlight is the waterfall walk! What an absolutely gorgeous swimming spot 🏝️
