Visited for 1 night on Sep 22nd to 23rd, it was nice, mice are there but truth is they are there home and we are just visitors. It's just seconds from main AT trail, water source is reliable, fireplace gives extra magic to evenings. Wondering if Old Joe is still there.

My aunt designed this shelter in my Uncle's memory, I finally made it here to see it in person. I'm glad to see it is still in great condition and being enjoyed by countless people. Carry on and enjoy!

Cozy tent sites next to this shelter. Fond memories! 3/27/23 Woke up the next morning to a military drill echoing off and around the gaps. Was quite an experience.

Excellent shelter sleeps 8 comfortably, privy has a door, nice spring water source near shelter, bear cables, and a bear box at this location. Also room to tent camp if needed.

Got there late, so I camped a bit past there. Other hikers were having a good time & laughing about the mice that live on/around the shelter
